Stone brings on the strong California style and the Belgium yeast adds a certain softness, but in Stone fashion, hops must be supreme. The beer has a light white head and it pours a light golden color. There is some type of tropical citrus that i do not care for in this beer.

Draft at Bricks. Pours beautiful clear golden bronze with nice white head. Nice funk in the nose. Taste is dry pine with some funkiness. Dryness in the aftertaste.

Poured from a bottle, San Diego. Very sweet. Not overly impressed by the style, Iíd rather just have a straight Belgian. Not as aggressive as some Stone beers. Solid beer, but Iíd like to taste more of the Belgian and less of the IPA.

Ok, to be fair, I unintentionally aged this, so Iíll try to be lenient in the scoring. Smells of...eh? Tastes of citrus and not much else. Actually, I am having this old one after a fresh RuinTen, so Iíll put out a 3.4 and try it again later.

Pours a nice golden hue. Scent is bright and citrus. Taste is grapefruit and bitter pine. Great version of a Belgian inspired American IPA. Cheers! Excellent

More Belgian than IPA, most of the facets of this brew lean towards Belgium. Starts with a funky, yeasty aroma, lightly hazy golden body and small, thin silky head. Taste brings on the yeast again, but the Stone hops come in to bite at the end. Finish reminds me of some French cheese. Interesting!

Golden brew with the smell of mandrine orange and herbs. Taste was bland at first and I didnít much think I cared for it, but after a few sips the flavor balanced out with some sweetness in there but yet the hops was odd and I couldnít seem to really figure the taste. Noticed other reviewers here couldnít seem to agree either. Some say citrus, others floral, and others are going with pine. The more I drink this one the more it seems to take on different flavors. The resinish bland seems to be in the aftertaste so I am going with just an Interesting flavor. Overall it is good, but for the high price tag not going back for more of this one.

I guess my palette is different from most reviewers, because I have yet to find a Stone IPA that really blew my socks off. They all get pretty high ratings, but I personally have not understood why. This beer is the same for me. Not very hoppy, or citrusy. Kinda skunky smell that carries over to the taste. It is kinda light and very smooth. And was nice and refreshing on a humid cloudy day. But just not something that I would enjoy on a daily basis...

An orange-yellow beer with a medium and blond head. The aroma is a great fruitbasket, belgian fruits, tropical fruits, citrusfruits and some fructose, and thatís it. Taste is fruitfull, some grapefruits and pine needles, medium bitterness, hint of herbs. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation and very pleasant to drink. Very good IPA where the yeast has done itís job and has given the nice additional value. Tastefull.
