Pours a translucent gold with a frothy white head. The nose was sweet, corny, some diacetyl, bland. The flavor was crisp and sweet, had a mild hop bite. Easy to drink but not satisfying.

Light apple aroma. Clear golden color with a medium white head. Lightly sweet mild malt flavor that fades in the finish. Light palate

On tap as Hook and Ladder. Standard clear golden color with a short lived white head. The aroma was grassy and sweet. The flavor was ever so lightly citrus washed out by sweet sugars and malt. A mouthfeel that was quite boring. Not bad. Not good. Just there.

Bottle (12oz). Shared by blankboy with me and garthicus. Light gold pour, clear, with a small diminishing white head (3-). Very light aroma of honey and clover, clean, slightly perfumey. tastes like a decently well-made macro golden ale - moderately grainy, a little floral and sweet, a light grassy bitterness in the linger. Watery, ever-so-slightly astringent, very quick-finishin - lawnmower beer.

My bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus. As ’Hook and Ladder Golden Ale’. Pours a clear pale orange with an average size diminishing white head. Aroma of fruit, honey, pale malt and light hops. Flavour’s a little boring, there’s nothing bad about it, it’s just dull: very light hops and pale malt with a hint of honey. Average bodied. Better then I expected but still just O.K.

Labeled and bottled as Hook and Ladder Golden Ale, purchased at The Fresh Market, Mobile, AL. Pours light yellow-gold with a small, fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, hay), light hops (grass), average yeast (sweat) with notes of pear. Light bodied, lively carbonation, sticky texture, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

12 oz. bottle at Bottega Toscana in Newburyport, MA on 7/24/2008.

Aroma - Light fruitiness with some distant grainy and floral character

Appearance - Hazy yellow gold with a solid medium white head.

flavor - Somewhat bitter, more so thatn expected, and the faint and ill defined maltiness just didn’t compensate sufficiently.

Plate - Very light, but not watery, clean, and lightly carbonated.

Overall - Inoffensive, but not much character. Clean, refreshing in a way, but nothing stands out.
