I had the Hook & Ladder Golden Ale label. Clear golden color with a frothy white head. Light nose with faint grass, light malts and a little soap. Crisp grainy malt flavors with a faint tangerine/orange citrus finish and light toast. Easy drinking beer.

Bottle, labeled as Hook & Ladder Golden Ale. Clear gold in color with a small white head. Grassy nose full of straw and a dash of corn, hardly any hops to speak of. Flavor is crisp malt, sweet and a bit grainy. Somewhat refreshing, though. Could be a decent lawnmower beer.

Hook and Ladder Golden Ale. Rating #993. Pours orange/gold, with a white head. Aroma is grass, malt, and grain. Flavor is malt, grass, and corn. Nothing special here, but this would probably be a nice summertime session brew.

Hook and Ladder Golden Ale - Clear gold, creamy white head. Nose held crisp fruity notes with a touch of grassy grains. Dirty earth and soft fuzzy fruit flavors balances on a faint bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, mild fruity finish. Not bad for what it is...

Clear and brassy with white head and lacing. Mild floral aroma. The flavor is bitter up front with weak malts and no real finish. It’s not terrible but there’s not much to it.

Bottle. Labeled as ’Hook and Ladder Golden Ale’. Pours clear amber with a white head. Aroma is light and malty with a bit of fruit. Medium/thin body. Flavor is again pretty light and boring, with notes of sweet malt and wheat. Pretty unimprerssive.

Very light beer, with no taste. Really nothing to say about it. Sweet and corn taste in palate. Boring.
