3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours hazy red/brown with with a small offwhite head, specks of lace. Smells mellow sweet malty with lots and lots of earthy type peppers. Tastes of earth and peppers only a hint of sweetness. Lingering peppers and a bit of heat. Medium body, good carbonation.

Poured into a tulip out of a corked bomber (Thank you, Charleston Beer Exchange!). Warning: Don't sniff this up your nose. This pepper infusion will be way too much for many, but if you love hot stuff, you'll love this. The heat stays with you. Shared my bottle with 4-5 patrons at the local Pourhouse. Faces were made.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Initial strange chili-cheese smell. Malty. Aged. Love the burn. Not sessionable: I pity the fool. Not with a meal, but dark chocolate or strong cheese. A breaded cheese popper.
This is most certainly true.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 7/20
Nose of green peppers and vegetables. A clear mahogany pour with a rapidly dissipating white head and no lacing. There is nothing subtle about the taste! WHOA! If you like HOT peppers, you will love this brew. Chilie peppers and more chilie peppers. Medium body and medium carbonation. BURNING MOUTHFEEL (pleasing, but all the same burning) lips, throat, the enamel on my teeth… Overall, now I know why Stone named this blow torch of a beer, Crime. It crossed my lips and immediately killed my taste buds! All I need is some yellow "Do No Enter" tape an my mouth would be a CRIME scene!

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a light reddish brown color with a decent sized off white head that quickly dissipates to wisps of foam on top. Aromas of earthy spicy hot peppers and little else. The flavor is pure heat, its like drinking lava and it sticks around forever. Medium body with a light level of carbonation and a burning spicy mouthfeel. I love spicy food, but this beer is just insanely hot. There is no enjoying this as a beverage, maybe as a marinade.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Pancake head with good retention recedes leaving scant lacing. Jalapeno, habanero and scotch bonnet aromas. Thick with sweet caramel, oak and vanilla upfront turning to a burning roasted hot pepper and bourbon finish... I’m a hot head and it really is quite warming - hard to imagine how the whole bottle is going to go down...

2.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Corked bottle and served in my vintage Ratebeer tulip: Pretty mahogany hued brew with a long lasting off-white frothy head and excellent lacework. Whoa!!! My biggest complaint about many pepper’d brews is they are not spicy enough for me. Well that is not an issue here, the taste is initially almost painful like drinking tabasco sauce, massive long lingering peppery. I actually like the aroma, sweet candied fruits, hint of vanilla bean and toffee with moderate chili character that only hints of what is coming to crush your palate and throat.
Finding a happy medium between the underwhelming VE 11 and this would be a start. A complete waste of monies considering there is no way I can finish this. Maybe I will pour some into the my spicy and cheesy hamburger dinner.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is mostly spicy peppers and some earthy tones, no bourbon barrel, small fruity hints. Taste spicy and hints of caramel, odd cherry taste as well, this isn’t as hot as the punishment brew, but its still pretty hot. Not for everyone, i can understand why a lot of people wouldn’t like it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Nice dark mahogany pour with a dense thin khaki head. Nose is basically just fresh jalapeño. Taste is malty, hops, some slight Bourbon, and lots of sharp heat. Pretty funny. I get it.

2.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Like all the reviews say, its spicy. Drinking hot sauce spicy. I actually really enjoy the smell. Fresh jalapeno smell, has a bit of the sweet fruit smell. The taste is nothing but heat. A very long lasting burn down the back of your throat. I liked the smell and a small taste, but i had a hard time drinking more than a taste.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle... Poured dark, brownish with a thin head. Immediately the peppers came through in the aroma. Smelled like a hot sauce. Lots of peppers all over this one. A hint of wood and earth but mostly heat. I liked it though because I enjoy spicy food. Definitely one of the hottest beers I have ever had.
