3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 1more4dessert (293) - Upstate, New York, USA - FEB 18, 2008overrated, sure it has 2% more ethanol, which only detracts from the experience, double what else? not as solid a malt base as the plain ol’ ordinary bastard. It has a clear orange red appearance and a foamy head than slowly bubbles up and can be restored with a swirl. another example where double does not translate into better -

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 mikkopen (662) - Oulu, FINLAND - APR 30, 2013
650 ml bottle (2012 edition, 11.2% ABV). Clear coppery colour, thin tan head. Fruity aroma of caramel, malt, piney hops and hints of vanilla. The flavour is caramel-malty at first, but that is quickly replaced by a massive dose of grapefruit-pine hops. Very tasty.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 tcane7 (810) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 29, 2013
Draft at Memphis. Pours a murky brown with thick beige head and protruding ringed lace. Aroma or caramel, toffee, rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, pine. Boozy as hell. I used to love this so I’ll be kind to it ratings wise.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 RexTalionis (1425) - FINLAND - APR 24, 2013
Bottled. Pours clear amber in color with a small tan head. Burnt sugar, some slightly boozy notes and a bit of forrest in aroma. Slightly sweet and some boozy notes in taste. A bit of a let down as usual with
these Stone’s brews. Too boozy and too sweet, although there’s some grassy bitterness towards the finish.

Had this multiple Times but first time rating it. Mahogany in color, the aroma promises butterscotch, dark fruit, caramel, vanilla and honey which the taste promptly delivers along with some hints of cocoa, citrus and slight herbal tones. Very good indeed!

Beautiful copper pour. Nice and clear with lots of tiny bubbles which rise to the thick white head. Sweet aroma of malt, fresh earth, hay, and booze. Thick mouthfeel. Flavor of sweet malt, pineapple, pine needles, grass with a giant hop punch in the mouth. Booze finish. I'm hardly worthy...

Perfect clear amber with thick long lasting white head. Inhaled pure earthy hops. Sweet cream and vanilla is immediately overwhelmed by grapefruit and bitterness. Beautiful.
