Brewed with rye, wheat malt and pecans and partially aged in Bourbon whiskey barrels, this viscous yet silken brew erupts with an oaky, nutty bouquet and rich flavors of vanilla, toast and bitter chocolate. Enjoy now or cellar this celebration of nth degree passion and geekery applied most gracefully to the craft of brewing and collaboration-Drew Curtis/Wil Wheaton/Greg Koch Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout!

2015. Pours an inky black with a decent sized creamy mocha brown head that settles to a thicker ring and leaves some spotty lace. Nose involves plenty of chocolate and nuts, hints of bourbon, some leafy herbal hops, marshmallow, raisin, candied orange, and some alc vapors. Really sweet, fairly bitter. Full bodied but not super-thick, quite oily, fairly active, rich, finishing dry and toasty with bitterness. An approachable beast.

Mild aroma, some roast malt, raisin, and strawberry. Appears opaque dark roast coffee with tan head. Taste starts out dark roast malt, fades into chocolate, then fades into a mild toffee marshmellow. Palate is fizzy and light. Overall, very good.

Tap. Pitch black. Tan head. Very subtle charred malt nose. Rich body. Incredibly nuanced flavor profile: sweet malt turns into vanilla turns into chocolate. ABV is well camouflaged. Impeccable BA stout.

Bottle. This is sweet, smooth, and totally polished. A near perfect impy stout. So glad I came upon it.

22 oz bottle 2015 edition. Opaque black, thick tan head and lace.
Big, rich, malty aromas. Chocolate brownie, vanilla, nuts, oak, bourbon, a hint of molasses.
Flavor is equally complex. Chocolate, vanilla, oak, smoke, bourbon.
Mouth-feel is smooth and creamy, ad while the bourbon is there, it never gets boozy.
Two years ago I shared the first version of this beer with my dear friend Wendee, when she was here on a visit. It was the last beer I shared with her, as she passed on last week. I’m glad this years version was just as good. I raise my glass to you Wen.

Bomber, poured black, with a small light brown head. Strong chocolate, coffee, caramel, vanilla, dark fruit wood and booze. Taste is fairly roasty, slightly bitter, wood notes and lots of booze. Great beer, complex but well balanced, enjoyable. Certainly a sipper but quite drinkable.

650ml bottle pours black in color with a finger and a half of light brown head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate with some oaky and bourbon notes. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with some bourbon and oak with a roasted grain bitterness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a pretty dam good imperial stout that is both tasty and aromatic.

Black with an everlasting frothy beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, bourbon barrel, a touch of rye, and sweet dark fruit. Rich roasty taste with fruity sweetness, bitter chocolate, and a fair amount of boozy barrel. Viscous, thick, smooth, full bodied. Good stuff.

22 ounce bottle. Opaque black color. Large mousse-like tan head. Rich chocolate brownie roasted malt aroma. Wow, flavor is huge upfront! Nutty, oaky, chocolate and roasted out of the gate. Silky mouthfeel has a resiny, oily, whiskey-like character. Complex and ludicrous, intense and ridiculous. Vanilla, brown butter, burnt sugar, dark chocolate, whiskey soaked raisins and so much more. This is a brew to sip slowly and luxuriously. Amazingly well proportioned and crafted.

On tap at Pinocchio’s. Dark pour, nice little lacing rings on each sip. Chocolate and alcohol on the nose. Man, a lot going on in the this one. You read the description and you can taste bourbon and rye and chocolate and roast and nuttiness and .... I can’t imagine getting this in a 22oz bottle. Hugely sweet, hugely alcoholic, hugely roasty. Nice.
