Bottle, pours a lushes black with ruby highlights, almost no head. Bold roast, oak, earth and alcohol nose. Deep thick rich attack and mouthfeel, warming, and heavy yet very drinkable. Yum!

Aroma is toasty, whiskey, dark fruits, only slight nuttiness. Dark black with light brown head. Retains a nice ring. Taste of chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, general nuttiness. While this is like many badass stouts the intricacies of the recipe give it a unique character.

Bomber. Dark brown dense pour with a very full palate. Chocolate, wood, bourbon warmth, maybe some licorice. Excellent!

Pours a deep black color with an aged oak barrel aroma. Taste is heavy alcohol content with a whiskey barrel flavor. A tinge of vanilla in the aftertaste, with a nutty film left on the palate. A very good imperial stout that has complex flavors.

This was a very oak heavy beer. Little bit of bourbon character, lots of nice roasted malt, etc. Overall, not bad!

Bomber from Trader Joe’s. Slick black on the pour. No head to speak of. Chocolate and roasted maltiness in the nose. Some alcohol as well. Roasty with a hint of sweetness. Quite a bit of booze. Some bitterness in the finish. Drinkable stout but not overwhelming.

Bottle thanks to Jack at his leaving drinks! It pours opaque, darkest brown with a quickly dissipating head. The nose is roasty, coffee, earth, nut, toast, dark fruit, gateaux, rocky road and a touch of red berry. The taste is bitter-sweet, roasted malt, earth, cocoa, dark fruit, coffee, rocky road, chocolate, vanilla, nut and mild acidity with a dry, roasty finish. Warming alcohol on the finish. Full body and fine carbonation. A big beer, yet somehow I found it a bit too easy to drink. Nice stuff.

I got the cool cartoon bottle. Poured a nearly opaque reddish black with lacing around edge of deep snifter, the edges glowing red in the sunlight. Boozy, vanilla and raw pecan nose. Pecans are mentioned on bottle and in ingredients, but that doesn’t sway me into just thinking pecans, it’s PECANS!!! The combination somehow gives it a cinnamon aroma. The stout is soft, smooth, silky and initially very sweet. The sweetness gives way to a dry, bitter finish with some strong alcohol bouncing around, as well as strong vanilla, oaky barrel notes. That strong bitter dryness at the far finish, is very representative of eating raw pecans!!!

Round, delicious and smooth, like breastmilk from a goddess, deep pecan and roasty marshmallow-. Prominence of ethereal impressive considering ABV, slight oaky-barrely note add mystery: mastery.
