Stone never disappoints me....cool bottle, got a limited release bottle which is cool. As for the beer, its strong, coming out hot, can’t really taste the alcohol but i would describe the flavor as sharp. Real intense/complex beer. As for the flavor, getting sort of a nutty chocolate vibe, bitter aftertaste, hints of coffee as well. Really intense stout, a definite sipper, lives up to the imperial billing. Does taste barrel aged, I bet this thing would be even better 6 months out.

Bottle shared, thanks Arturo! Great stuff, quite creamy and peanut butter forward, lovely notes of dark chocolate and vanilla, licorice, chili, bit of oak, smooth finish with a warming edge. Great stuff, quite deep and heady!

Bomber to a tulip. Black with an inch thick tan head. Aroma is anise, barley, cocoa, wood, and vanilla. Taste is wood, vanilla, barley, anise, and some alcohol. Average to thick mouthfeel and somewhat hot. Good beer,

Pours up black with a thick tan head. Aroma is bourbon, wood, coffee, molasses, roasted malt and chocolate. Bold flavor, with bourbon for the headliner and chocolate, roast malt, coffee, molasses and wood in supporting roles. A heavy hard hitter and makes no bones about it. Thick heavy texture leaves a moderately sweet finish with bourbon.

This giant of a stout is packed with dark fruits, chocolate and whiskey notes. It does not hide its big 13% ABV, content to destroy the palate with a huge tongue-prickling wash that settles into a chocolate, raisin, soy fade. Pours pitch black with a slight light brown head.

22 oz bottle obtained through Tavour. Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout is a dark black brown liquid with a thin head of cafe au lait colored bubbles. the Nose is rich and fermented blend of chocolate malts, Oak and a bit of vanilla. Body is a bit silky. Taste is again sweeter darkly roasted malts with bits of cocoa, oak and vanilla. there is an odd, yet not unpleasant sweet soy aspect to the nose and taste. an excellent collaboration beer.

Black, oily pour. It feels heavy. Almost no head. Bubbles come up a bit slowly, it looks heavy. This probably ended up being my favorite Imperial Stout. It’s just really, really drinkable. It’s a great medley of dark flavors, a heavy body, a slightly bitter and alcoholic finish. It’s not over the top. It’s not unbearably strong. It doesn’t over-alcohol just because it can.

Deep dark brown coloured body, about 95% opaque with only a sliver of light going through some oily brown body when held at an angle. Light brown head with almost no movement at all, and the head fades within seconds, leaving a bubble or two on top - that’s it. Aroma of alcohol, molasses, bourbon, rye, coffee and a ton of vanilla - strong and pungent smelling. Full-bodied; Deep, rich, sticky and incredibly pungent/bitter from the bourbon and grain. Vanilla comes through, but only as a burn in the finish. Aftertaste is molasses, grain, alcohol, bourbon, rye, roasted oatmeal, vanilla and somehow more alcohol - like grain alcohol. Overall, a very strong and incredibly pungent beer, and not in a good way. This 13% shows a bit TOO much, espceially after the aging should have tempered things. If you still have this around, drink it now, since it doesn’t appear to getting better with time, and don’t expect too much, this is way overproofed and strong for it’s own good, you’d be better off buying a beer that manages alcohol content much better. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia on 19-July-2013 for US$9,99 sampled at home in Washington on 28-November-2015. If people stopped reading and looking at labels and started tasting beers and consider what they should be tasting like, this beer would be at the bottom 10% of the style, easily. But, because there is a devil person on the front, the ratings jump through the roof...sad for real beer reviewers. Bottled on: 25-June-2013 // Purchased on: 19-July-2013 // Sampled on: 28-November-2015

Pretty damn good. Smooth, not overbearing with the usual tar or licorice. Can taste slight grains and brown sugar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
