From the most unlikely yet intensely imaginative trio that is actor and uber-geek champion Wil Wheaton, alternative news website Fark.com creator Drew Curtis and Stone CEO/Co-founder Greg Koch, comes an imperial stout unlike any ever made. Brewed with rye, wheat malt and pecans and partially aged in Bourbon whiskey barrels, this viscous yet silken brew erupts with an oaky, nutty bouquet and rich flavors of vanilla, toast and bitter chocolate. Enjoy now or cellar this celebration of nth degree passion and geekery applied most gracefully to the craft of brewing and collaboration-Drew Curtis/Wil Wheaton/Greg Koch Stone Farking Wheaton w00tstout!

Tasted on 10/1/13 from a 650mL bomber bottle purchased at Main Street Liquors in Nashville. Pours a completely opaque, nearly black with an average, but very dense tan brown head that leaves fairly thick lace. The nose is very dark and roasted, dominated by molasses, coffee, and burnt brown sugar, with caramel, toffee, a nutty aroma, and creamy vanilla all underlying. The flavor is the same, super creamy coffee, caramel, toffee, and vanilla up front, with all of the burnt molasses, brown sugar, and nutty note all on the back of the palate. The body is massively full with lighter, but still stinging carbonation, and a super long vanilla, toffee, creamy coffee, molasses, and burnt brown sugar finish. It is worth noting that throughout, this beer is extremely dry, with almost no sweetness whatsoever.

2016 edition. Pours motor-oil thick with tan head that lasts a long time. Appearance as viscous as you like. On the nose: milk chocolate, berries, dark chocolate, oak, pecans, a little booze, nutty, wheat, cream of rice cereal, tanned leather, banana, cloves, bubblegum, Malt-O-Meal, heavy whipping cream. Taste: Chocolate malt, nuts, a little bit of booze, salted caramel, bourbon, saltwater taffy, sweet dark cherries, dark chocolate, espresso coffee beans, sourdough bread, butter. Finishes clean and leaves you wanting another, though the 13 percent ABV would implore you to reconsider. Overall, a beautifully outstanding beer.

Pours standard black with a very thin dark brown head... absolutely no lacing or cap. Boozy mash-up of bourbon, light roast malts for a RIS, interesting nutty and dry toffee component.. toasted marshmallow.. bittersweet chocolate with warmth and something that I associate with cinnamon. There are soooo many different flavors/adjuncts that are in this fresh.. It actually works even given the heavy ABV... Will it work better with age? I have no idea... but I am amazed how well it drinks fresh.

Pitch black, oily smooth. Chocolate, pecan. The first alcohol hit is monumental but otherwise goes down smooth. Long dark chocolate and coffee finish.

midnight black color and 13% ABV impressed upon me that this was going to be a monster of a stout but it took me by pleasant surprise with a velvety texture that is medium bodied instead of chewy. The foam disappeared quickly, which seemed a bit contrary to style but nonetheless an incredible balance of flavors of nuttiness, chocolate, coffee, caramel and a bit woody that hide the 13% very well.

A raspberry like aroma. Maybe its a wine barrel. I get maybe a wiff of wood. Body is dark and tan. Body is thick. Flavor is very sweet and alcohol flavored. Too strong, not roasty enough. Not good.
