Aroma sweet. Beautiful pour black with tan head. Body of a barleywine, tastes like Beverly crushers snatch. I know, Iím sharing a bottle with Patrick Stewart. finish itís giving me chocolate notes that werenít there at the beginning. And the rye that came through earlier is beginning to wane.

Near black with a then khaki head. Oily lacing. Amazing aroma. Sweet caramel, raisin bread, and booze. Taste is caramel, char, dark fruits, and some hot alcohol. Alcohol is slightly numbing on the tongue.

Tap. Black, small tan head lasts well. Aroma of vanilla, mocha, nutty/ fudgy Indian sweets, cardamon, galangal. Rich velvety texture. Taste has mocha vanilla, lush fudginess but a nice lean towards dry near the end. Unfortunate big boozy rush at the end is a jolt. Maybe better in bottles - itís not hot or unpleasant, but jumps out a bit. Better as it warms: booze more integrated into bourbon-like flavours, but still a bit much for the beer.

Bomber shared at the April 5, 2014 Charlottesville tasting. Pours a dark brown color with a thin tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of chocolate, nuts, whiskey, mild wheat. The taste is chocolate, roast, nuts, mild whiskey. Medium bodied.

Aroma of roasted malts, and pecans. Pours a deep dark brown with a khaki head and moderate lacing. The taste follows the nose - nutty, vanilla, roasted malts and some alcohol. Medium-full body with medium carbonation. Overall, a rewarding stout from Stone Brewing.

Whisky, semisweet cocoa, sugar daddy aroma - but the whiskey is cheap. (The next day, when Iím putting in my rating, the aroma reminds me of dark cooking rice wine) Burnt 10w-40 appearance with a small ringing tan head. Bitter cocoa, woody, alcohol bittering, warming, lots of molasses. Big beer, but I didnít love it. On tap, Proof, Tallahassee.

Nice beer even though its really really sweet. Pours inky black with brown head. Aroma is heavy pecans, light bourbon, vanilla, mollases chews. Taste is once again very sweet with some roasty ash to balance it a bit.

Bber bottle, dark and light carb, sweet and slightly metallic, the body tastes just like pecan pie, sweet cloying finish, some bourbon flavors in there, itís prett nice for a sweet beer

On draft at Torst. There are tons of pecans in this nutty stout. It is fairly sweet and very flavorful. Another superb Stone collaboration.

Pours oily and black, very rich and smooth, with an excellent palate. Multifaceted imperial, more interesting than many, good hops; canít really get the pecans however. Excellent.
