Aroma sweet. Beautiful pour black with tan head. Body of a barleywine, tastes like Beverly crushers snatch. I know, Iím sharing a bottle with Patrick Stewart. finish itís giving me chocolate notes that werenít there at the beginning. And the rye that came through earlier is beginning to wane.

Map at BD Shepherds Bush. Pours black with a medium khaki head leaving very sticky lacing. Nose is loaded with vanilla and nutty undertones, very balanced milk chocolate with piney hops. Taste is heavy on vanilla and milk chocolate, mildy bitter cocoa focus, grass, wood and honey. Nuttiness all the way through the palate which works. Sweet but balanced nicely. Hidden ABV is superb. Very nice stuff

Tap at The Jeffrey, seriously no wonder I was drunk upon leaving finally seeing the abv on these puppies. Pours black with nose of coffee and some spicing. Tastes of licorice, figs, plums, coffee, vanilla, bourbon, bitter dark chocolate, and caramel. pretty nice

On tap at BrewDog Manchester. Dark with tan foam and some lacing. Aroma already smells sticky before itís even on the tongue. Thick, rich, warming, indulgant taste with plenty of toffee and rye spice. The barrel seemed to enhance rather than overpower. Couldnít pick up any pecan, but I love what the extra grains bring to this one. Great stuff.

Keg at Brewdog Shep Bush. It pours a deep brown, almost black, colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, nuts, cocoa, vanilla, wood, whiskey, and alcohol. Taste of char, roast, vanilla, wood, bourbon, nuts, and alcohol in the finish. Good

Poured into a tall Tulip glass.
Poured dark brown almost black with a tan head that dissipated quickly. Lacing was decent.
The nose had hints of wood, soy sauce and chocolate.
Tongue feel was medium to full bodied with a light fizz.
Tastes were hot and boozy probably from the bourbon barrels.

Keg at Brewdog Edinburgh. Jet black pour, thin tan head. Aromas of sherry and wood and booze. Then more sugary notes as it warms up. Fainty nutty, and overall very much like a Pedro Ximinez sherry. And thereís nowt wrong with that.

Black pour with a thin layer of khaki head ... aroma of bourbon, caramel malts and some roasted malts .... taste is of dry oak, caramel malts, lightly roasted malts, light bourbon/vanilla, chocolate and some bitter hop bite with definite sweet pecan and slight sugar ... .bitter dry finish .... definitely a complex brew with a bitter dry finish ... not detecting any rye sadly , but its def a little boozy and warming abv in the finish

Keg at Brewdog Edinburgh. Dark with a nice thick chocolaty head. Nice aroma of caramelised sugar, dark malts and barrel agedness - possibly sherry, wine or whiskey rolled up together. This is indeed boozey and seriously tasty. There is a also significant sweetness to it but itís in harmony with the other qualities. Very nice.
