COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Since Day One, we’ve been abundantly forthright and fully transparent about our lust for hops. It’s led us to craft many an IPA, most of them imperial—some intense for their time and all timeless in their intensity. For Stone Go To IPA, we are embracing our hop obsession in a new way, funneling an abundance of lupulin-borne bitterness into a "session" IPA delivering all the fruity, piney character of a much bigger IPA. To accomplish this, we employed "hop bursting," a new technique wherein an irrational amount of hops is added during the final phase of the brewing process to coax out extreme flavors and aromas while also imparting a burst of desirably pleasant bitterness. The result is an Alpha-acid-rich beer that fans can enjoy more of without missing out on the assertive hop character you, like us, crave. So, sit back and go two with your new everyday go-to IPA and bask along with us in the glory of the almighty hop.

Poured from the tap into a Rogue pint glass. The color is clear orange/gold with a foamy white head and some nice lacing. The smell is bright hops with some fresh hop aroma. Fresh cut grass is in the nose with a tangerine aroma sweetening things up and making it citrus smelling. The taste is nice piney hops with sweet light malty goodness. A nice citrus flavor with hints of tangerine and tangy grapefruit. Much like Enjoy By IPA, the flavor has that same earthy grass taste. The feel is light bodied and goes pretty damn easy. A tasty beer in a light session-able package. Some flavor reminiscent of bigger IPAs but has lightness that is very drinkable.

Bottle from Bobar: Liquid appeared a golden elixir with a delicate foam cap head that reduced to an O-ring shape. Mild aroma of hops that does smell danky for a session beer but then again this is a session IPA and only a few companies have been making these over the past few years. The taste is bitter with a bite of citrus fruit peel such as orange and tangerine with sprinkles of lemon zest. A decent beer but not a realistic price of almost $12 for a freakin 6 pack.

What a wonderful Session IPA- I love this one and it is in stock in our fridge. Nice golden color, a bit of pine and hops nose and taste, a little bit citrus, not too hoppy, well balanced with a great refreshing aftertaste.

Bottle. Milky yellow pour with a white head. Citrusy hop aromas. Weak second hand citrusy hop notes. Really a bit on the bland side. Lifeless with a very average body and mouthfeel.

Was $2 for the 12 oz. single bottle purchased from an obscure little bottle shop found just at the end of an alleyway on right across from The Salt Cellar (Commercial Alley Beers). The shop had really been addressed on Market, but this is a minor detail. To long-stemmed tulip, it pours a skin-tinted citron orange with which a white ringed head barely even a fingernail in length stood. Aromas of green cardamom, lawn trimmings, pistachios, lemongrass, and sweat. Tastes the same with the addition of muskmelon, lima beans, Midwest hops, and breast yeast, Bitterer by its moderately minty finish. Splendidly refreshing.

2014-07-18. Hazy bright orange body, nice foamy off white head and some lace. 3++ aroma is fairly hoppy, melange of hop greenery, mango, tropical fruit, other fruit. Flavour is similar, green hop verge ration, undertones of fruit, mango like character. 7+ Moderate bitterness throughout grows as you go. Average bodied palate is fairly carbonated. Decent. Bottle from Beer Boutique, Brooklyn

[Growler] Pours a lightly hazy bubbly gold with an average size long-lasting frothy white head. Aroma is hoppy, herbal and fruity, piney as well, along with some wheat and bready malt in the back. Flavour follows, reminds me more of an easy drinking Pale, but it’s quite enjoyable. Citrusy and tropical fruit hops and with a moderate bitter finish. Average bodied. A joy to drink.

Pretty good session IPA. Slightly hazy golden. Very citrusy (grapefruit) and some pine. Almost no bitterness. Medium carbonation and fairly light body. Definitely could do a good session with this one.

Pours a beautiful orange color with a very small white head. The aroma on this is a bit skunky with lots of citrus, and some minimal pine. Taste is hops, citrus, kind of your typical IPA. This one doesn’t wow me. But I’m sensing some off flavors here. I feel this may not be as fresh, which is a tremendous shame.

Pours a copper color with a white head. Weaker pine aromas at the nose with some citrus. Lightly bitter for an IPA.

Bottle from wholefoods. Unclear golden body with a medium white head. Pineapple, grapefruit, hops, tropical fruit, lime, peach. Nice and smooth.
