3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ Johnny Browns. 1st beer of SDBW for me. Pours a deep coffee brown with a small beige ring. Beer was poured way too cold, couldn’t really smell or taste anything at first. After about 20 min of letting the beer warm, things really started to happen. Light oak on the nose, along with some bitter sweet chocolate and roasted malts. Finish was a little thin and disappointing.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Churchkey.
Pours near black with a thin deep tan head. Moderate legs as it goes down. Nose had strong notes of chocolate and fudge alongside a good amount of roast and some coffee. Slightly creamy as well. Taste really brought the flavors together but they were muted compared with the nose. Feel was nice and creamy without much booze. Drank quite well l. The stouts really stole the show at this event.
