iceman15658 (4), Acme, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Nov 6, 2009 From bottle to pint glass. pungent hoppy aroma. Nice golden appearance. Hints of grapefruit. A solid IPA Fratto (662), Arlington, Texas, USA Nov 4, 2009 Bottle from Cavie. "Why hello, dry hop. You seem to have overrun my aroma." A little lemon aroma as well. Taste is hoppy, but not as much as the aroma. Very citrusy. Lots of side tingle on the tongue. DonKi11uminati (43), , Indiana, USA Nov 1, 2009 This is a very solid, hoppy IPA. Generous hops on the aroma and in the flavor. Notes of pine and citrus in the aroma. The flavor and finish are also quite bitter and floral and not too sweet, with at most medium carbonation. I like the Ruination IPA more, but this is a good IPA. Cavie (1277), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Nov 1, 2009 Light orange color. Both Fratto and I in tandum: "Why hello hops!" explains the aroma. Tastes of hops as well that don’t disappoint. Finish isn’t bad.
Slightly hazy burnt yellow with foamy head and pretty strong lacing.
Aroma of pine and citrus, slightly sweet toasted malts.
Fantastic hop taste - mostly pine, citrus and some grapefruit. Some mostly dry malts to counterbalance the hop explosion, but not too much. Persistent bitterness at end.
Very smooth and very dry. Medium body and moderate carbonation.
For being so hop-centric and bitter, this is unbelievably easy to drink.
This has now become one of my top IPAs, along with Celebration and Two-Hearted.
