What a perfect beer for the summer weather. As I sat in the sun I found the floral, pine and hops aroma thoroughly refreshing. Absolutely full of those classic IPA flavours: citrus, pine and a lasting bitter finish. Wonderful. hopheadfett (50), Oak Ridge, New Jersey, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Pours a light amber, a tinge hazy, thick foamy head, great retention, great lace. Nose is hops and citrus. Taste slapped my tongue with hops and citrus, extremely balanced, finishes a tad dry and deliciously bitter. Long lasting hop taste in my mouth after sipping. A benchmark in IPA’s, always good, refreshing. downender (2578), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Bottle from Realale.com. Golden in colour with a big white head and slight carbonation. Sharp, grapefruit and pine aroma with some balancing malt. Flavour had some sweet, butterscotch malt, some citrus and resin hops and a decent dry finish. Very good. awiseman01 (342), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 6, 2009 On Tap at BJ’s GPM. Pours murky, pale orange. Nose is fresh hops, citrus, very inviting. Taste didn’t follow the nose as I had wished, very dry and tasted slightly overcarbed. May have been an old barrel, not sure. Even at that, I enjoyed my glass. Finish is dry bitter, rough. Need to try a fresh batch. fiver29 (713), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 5, 2009 Bottle pours hazy light amber color with thick foamy off white head. Aroma smells like I just crushed fresh hops into my glass. Literally. Like I took a hop from one of my hop vines, crushed it, and put it into the glass. Opulent mouthfeel. Taste is resinous hops, is sticky in my mouth hops, has a nice malt backbone, then finishes semi-dry. Wonderful. Just wonderful. WesKBob (321), Bethany, Oklahoma, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Aug 3, 2009 Pours a slightly hazy orange. Gorgeous moderate pillowy white head with very good retention and lacing. Great hoppy aroma of pine and hint of citrus. Flavor is dominated by grassy bittering hops, with some floral, peach and pine notes as it fills your mouth. Medium mouthfeel with just the right amount of bitter bite in the finish. Excellent. trevor211 (504), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 3, 2009 Pours hazy light gold, with a medium, pillowy head. Crisp citrus hops right off the bat, and enough of them to make the aroma resemble most DIPAs, some pepper, and some butterscotch-like malt to counter. This is a great all-around IPA - very crisp flavor, nice balance (while remaining hop-forward like an IPA should), and while the hops are a little stale / uninteresting, this remains a refreshing brew, and a great example of the style. dand645 (90), Bayonne, New Jersey, USA
