Fruity notes and a good backbone of flavor. Will try again when I get the chance. Vertical Bacon Strips (888), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 15, 2009 Man, this is one fine brew...I’ve had it before a couple of times before, but that was prior to my reviewing existance. Although this beer is somewhere near hazy apricot but closer to a gold, it has some interesting clarity and my glass is giving off a weird shadowed pattern. It’s not the hype, it’s just that right off the bat from first smell to first sip you know this beer separates itself from the competiton. The aroma has the standard smells but they are straight up better - mild pine and grapefruit, slight spice, floral, background caramel malts: the beauty of this is that the aroma is not over the top - it’s just excellent. Taste is very nice: awsome well blended flavours of grapefruit, oranges, pine, nice sweetness. Mouthfeel is the ultimate..sure I’m fairy tanked but this beer feels so good I wish I lived in Utah so I could marry again...and again...and again....lots of whores! Fake name and ID too....yea...seeds and siblings! hahahahh oh christ, ......incredibly smooth, medium bodied, this is the liquid form of petting kittens. You know what I mean? Pet a kitten .....go ahead....then taste that kitten...do it...if you are not satisfied toss the little critter on the skillet with some garlic...just a great beer! Finishes malty, slightly fruity and with a very acceptable ammount of bitterness that is nowhere near hard bitter. Great beer. MereLikesBeer (154), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA

It poured a hazy straw yellow with an eggshell white colored head. Aromas were mostly hoppy. I didn’t really pick up on any citrus like I do with many other IPA’s. Taste sort of translated, it was pretty hoppy and had a sort of bitter taste to it, with absolutely no citrus taste. Overall it is a decent IPA, however I like them to have a bit more balance to them than this. I will try some other stuff from Stone :) Cirrhosis (615), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Nice color to the body but the beer looks completely flat until I give it a good swirl. Aroma is intense citrus hops with leathery malts, sour peach candy is also coming to mind, very nice aroma not over the top and completely yummy. Flavor is very upfront and turns sweet in the finish, wood flavored malts, pine, and lots of citrus, and the taste of gin can all be noticed. I’m getting a peach flavor on ever third sip. Beer is light bodied and very dry. Dam fine brew clean crisp complex what ells could you ask for." hoppopotamus (182), Santa Cruz, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 9, 2009 A nice looking slightly hazy copper beer with a decent off-white head that leaves lacing. Aroma is all piney and citrusy hops, a little sweet. The flavor is mostly hop bitterness, and quite bitter it is too. A one-dimensional IPA, but hey: I love hops. xs2500 (90), Mississippi, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 7, 2009 very little maltiness. a clean dry finish. Extremely close to being a double. piny citrusy hoppy. nice froathy head that gives way to lacing. Even if you don’t like IPA’s this beer is worth buying and just smelling it for hours. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2009 Poured from 12oz. Bottle into Snifter glass.
Pours a crystal clear glowing orange with a fantastic slightly off-white creamy head. Aroma has caramel malt, granny smith apple and touches of citrus hops. Flavor has more of the citrus hops upfront with some light malts and a very light bitterness that doesn’t dominated. its light to medium bodied with a very light carbonation. Very nicely done IPA, doesn’t really stand out from most but the aroma is unique.
