DiabolikDUB (143), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 7, 2009 Poured from 12oz. Bottle into Snifter glass.
Pours a crystal clear glowing orange with a fantastic slightly off-white creamy head. Aroma has caramel malt, granny smith apple and touches of citrus hops. Flavor has more of the citrus hops upfront with some light malts and a very light bitterness that doesn’t dominated. its light to medium bodied with a very light carbonation. Very nicely done IPA, doesn’t really stand out from most but the aroma is unique. italarican (157), Astoria, New York, USA Jun 6, 2009 Pours a deep gold with little white head. Aroma of floral hops, pineapple, and red apples. Has an intensified IPA flavor: lots of hops, lots of pine, lots of crispness, lots of bitterness. The flavor will stay with you for quite a while, so you better like IPAs. ouknowo (1), New Jersey, USA does not count Jun 6, 2009 This beer is just ridiculous...it makes it almost impossible to drink cheap american domestics ever again. USCBeerMan (103), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Jun 1, 2009 pours golden/amber yellow. nice white head that lasts. medium hoppy nose and pleasant complex floral aroma. this is very well balanced beer. there are so many IPAs out there that aren’t hopped appropriately. Damico (162), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA May 31, 2009 There is a subtle sweet smell of hops to the aroma, but I feel less potent out of the bottle than the tap. It has a clear golden color. There is a clean hops flavor because, as it advertises, it’s made with four simple ingredients. But it is not an overabundance of hops that hits you hard like a hop slam. I prefer their pale ale, but this is a delicious beer to drink. beerandIT (177), Richmond, Virginia, USA May 31, 2009 Pours a golden amber color with about half an inch of head. Floral hops and citrus heavy on the nose. Medium bodied. On the palate I get hops, citrus, grapefruit with a nice strong finish. We are verging on perfection here. Nice subtle floral hop flavor stays on your palate for a long time after...get it! illkarate (89), Bloomington, Indiana, USA May 31, 2009 12oz bottle, liquid gold with a hint of orange color. Definitely a standard bearer for American IPAs - flawless balance, great hop bitterness, pine, caramel. Fantastic! Pipper (226), Ohio, USA May 28, 2009 Sample at Rozi’s Wine House Stone Brewing Co. Event. Poured a cloudy yellow/orange color with white head. A little piney aroma and a bubbly mouth feel with smooth finish and alcohol aftertaste. Not my favorite IPA but certainly decent.
