Big bold hoppy beer with a smooth bitter finish. This is a Stone Flagship beer. It defines the style.

A benchmark of the style. Fully flavoured with a hop-forward balance makes for a more in-your-face presentation than their standard Pale Ale (as it should be).

UPDATED: APR 3, 2014 On draft at the "I Love Pizza" restaurant in Narita, Chiba, Japan. Pours an almost clear yellow/orange with a medium white head and huge amount of lacing on the glass. Aroma is powerful floral hops. Taste is bitter with grains and a bit of caramel. Bitter finish. Slick mouthfeel. Wonderful beer.

Poured a bright gold with a thin white head and lively carbonation. Bold, sweet hoppy aroma. Strong citrus flavour, very bitter middle and finish. Moderate lacing. Overly bitter for my taste.

Great IPA. A great place to start and see what you like and don’t like about beer. A real Gold Standard in IPA’s.

On tap at Christy’s Euro Pub. Pours clear straw gold with a white head. Aroma is huge floral and citrus hops. Taste is mostly within the realm of hops with floral hops taking over. Perhaps a slight maltiness to it, but it’s vastly overpowered by the hops. Huge bitterness on the back end as well. Body is average, nice creamy mouthfeel though. Overall this is a pretty good IPA. It has all the flavors you would expect to go along with a lasting bitter finish. Solid.
