| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Apr 7, 2009 Light orange, slightly hazy, small white head. Aroma is big on pine, resin and citrus hops, canned fruits, and a tiny bit of malt sweetness. Flavour is huge, loads of hops, but nicely balanced with malt sweetness. There are hints of other flavors here too, but they don’t quite come through. Lively carbonated, medium body. Very drinkable and refreshing. altehkiller (71), , California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 7, 2009 Like a pine tree in a glass! A bit too harsh for my tastes but its definitely a great ipa. Lots of bitter grassy flavor with notes of citrus and grapefruit. HighWine (163), , California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 6, 2009 Ever since I fist tried the Stone IPA years ago, this has been one of my favorite beers. I don’t drink it too often but every time I do I am always blown away by the complexity of the flavor. The color is golden with tiny bubbles. The head looks like a soft meringue that refuses to go away. Aroma floral and citrus hops with a little bit of malt. There are many layers of flavor in the glass, all perfectly balanced. First comess floral hops then bread/malt which fades into a delicious bitterness. This is far from the hop-water that most IPAs are characterized by. Bosco (65), Boca Raton, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Pours light yellow with little/thin lace. Hops come right through. Quick on the bitter with short linger. True to IPA flavor. A thumbs up, three stars and a freckle go to this decent brew.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Bottle. This is piney goodness in an IPA. Clear orange pour with a small white head. Laces to the glass solidly. Pineapple and caramel flavors are very strong on the front end. Solid hop balance in the finish. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Cloudy amber with a huge three finger head and good amount of lacings. Aroma is big bready and citrus hops. Taste is big citrus hops, grapefruit rind, some pine and resins. Malts are there but definately bringing up the rear. Mouthfeel is good very crisp, but slightly excessive carbonation. I may have served this a bit too cold. Overall an impressive IPA and just what I look for in a modern West Coast version. Drink ’em fresh for best results.
