Bottle from Port Chester Beer Distributor. Golden color with a warm and sweet floral hop flavor. Great hop flavor without the sting of alcohol.

Extreme hoppy flavor as suggested on the label. A nice murky golden color with a large bite of hops with each drink. Very full flavored beer and the 6.9% alcohol by volume sneaks up on you.

I could nose this beer all day, with its insistent hops jumping at me from my tulip glass. Pine notes abound, not quite like a Christmas tree, but close enough to merit mention. People seem to think this beer has some semblance of balance to it; I don’t. The hops kicked me right in the teeth and went screaming down my throat. If I’m in the right mood I can enjoy it, but it’s not one of my favorite IPAs.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a frothy white head. Aroma is mostly piny hops, a little bit of caramel and spice. Mouthfeel is nice and fairly thick. Initial taste is floral hops with just enough malty citrus sweetness, but quickly becomes an overwhelming aspirin bitterness- finish is long, but purely bitter without much character.

Tried this for the first time in Kentucky this past weekend (can’t get it in Bama, of course). Overall, simply, I loved it. Solid flavor, good carbonation. Lots of subtle and not so subtle pine notes and a little citrus. Should have brought back a crate! Ruination is up next.

Enjoyed on the patio at the brewery. Looks great - smells better; pine, malt and big cascade hop presenece. Flavor is much the same as aroma. Extremely well balanced and 6.9% is well hidden - until about half way through your 3rd pint I found. One of the best (actually probably the best) American style I.P.A.s.. Could we get this in Ontario please?

A sparkling amber with a thick white head. HEAVY citrus/pine aroma. The flavor the hops impart on this beer match perfectly with the sweetness of the malt giving it a really nice, fruity taste. Finishes a little too bitter for me but nowhere near as overpoweringly as Stone’s Ruination. Very, very drinkable which can let the 6.9% sneak up on you. Very, very good.
