By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

This is a great beer. I bought one of their big bottles at Bevmo on a whim. I poured it into my big glass and was immediately intrigued by the hoppy, almost floral aroma. The color is beautiful golden amber, with a plentiful head that stuck around for a while. The flavor was citrusy with some sweetness to it, with a crisp bitter finish and a long lasting hoppy aftertaste. If you love hops, this is a beer for you. The complexity of this beer is what is striking about it. The palate was fairly average, but Iím a cream ale kind of girl, Iím used to ultra smooth. The alcohol content is slightly evident in the aftertaste, and definetly evident when you are almost done with the beer and you get up to grab some chips. This beer packs a punch. Fantastic overall.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2006 This is an outstanding IPA. Better than a lot IIPAís iíve had. Huge citrus, grapefruit aroma. Flavor is a lot like Goose Islan IPA. Well integrated malt profile, too. Maybe the best IPA Iíve ever had. (Rerate) What an amazingly solid beer. This is the ultimate session beer.

Clear orange body with medium offwhite, bubbly lacing head. Hoppy slight pine aroma with sweet notes. Bitter hoppy flavor with a side of light spice and some light fruits. Bitter hoppy finish.

[At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] A hazy orange beer with an off-white lasting head. The aroma is rather hoppy, combined with notes of caramel - and I also pick up a slight coffee note. The flavor is sweet hoppy with powerful notes of caramel, and lesser notes of yeast. A good IPA.

Tasted during trip to california. 65 cl Bottle. No yeast in bottom. Very pleasant fruit aroma. Golden too light amer colour with a lance head. Very extreme hoppy flavour but not so bitter than you may expected, but sill dry. A very tasteful IPA.

22 oz bomber. Pours a golden orange with a thin white head, and plenty of carbonated bubbles rising through the glass. Aroma is pleasant and very fruity. A very smooth citrus flavor with a great balance of hops. Unlike a lot of IPAs this one does not overpower with hops. Very drinkable.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear orange with gold tones and a short, 1/2" head. The head disapates quickly but leaves a tiny amount of lacing. The aroma is pure citrus, ruby red grapfruit with nuances of orange and lemon. The flavor is mostly citrus fruit, kind of bitter with a touch sweetness. The hops are definetly up front but there are hints of malt now and then, especially after it warms up a bit. Mouthfeel seems off to me, not very rich or full but pleasant. The finish is dry, very dry, with a strong grapfruit after taste. This is a well crafted beer but not one of my favorite styles.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & blankboy -- courtesy of HogTownHarry. Golden orange, frothy white head. Strong pine like hops. Taste is a balanced bitter, but dare I say subdued and Stone in the same sentence. Medium mouthfeel. Nothing more than a solid balanced bitter IPA, with no hint of its alcohol - nice stuff!

I really like the beers this company puts out. I tried an IPA before and did not like it. But I gave these guys a shot. I still donít like IPAís. Just not for me taste like I am chewing on a flower. Although this is better than the other I tasted, just not for me.
