By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Very interesting. Pours clearly with a light white head. Smells piney and a hint of grapefruit. The first taste is of bitter floral hops followed by a nice finish that is smooth and lingers.

This brew is RIGHT ON! The best IPA i have tasted. Smooth, bitter beautiful head. I am very impressed by this effort. If you love hops, this is the beer for you.

Pours out a nice brown color with a thick white head. Aroma is very hoppy. Flavor was a nice balance of hops. Was very impressed with this brew. IPA and IIPAs are brews that I am starting to become a fan of. This is a great example.

UPDATED: OCT 24, 2007 Pours hazy golden orange color with white head. Strong citrusey and hoppy aroma. Very citrusey flavor with intense suggestions of lemony dryness. Nice quality hop flavor with a dry lingering finish.

Bright orange with a long lasting off-white head and prevalent lacing. Aroma was prominent citrus, ruby red grapefruit with some pine. Flavor of big sharp resiny hops propped up by smooth, not-too-sweet malts. A nice lasting bitterness on the finish.

22 oz. Bottle: Cloudy gold with lots o’ bubbles rising to the white stiff head. Sticky lacing shows itself around the top half of the glass. There is a sweet, citrsuy hop aroma showing juniper bushes, green veggies in the garden and grapefruit. The taste is wonderfully dry and bitter with floral notes, sagebrush and an ultra bitter grapefruit aftertaste. The carbonation is lively as it dances around on the tongue. The body is full and has a smooth feel. Like Stone’s goal - this is a robust beer that is BIG and will teach any macro lover a lesson about real beer.

(Bottle via trade with IrishBoy, thanks Richard!) Hazy amberish yellow body with a rather frothy white head. Aroma pretty strongly hoppy - alternating between piney and fruity. Some webby, foamy lacing. Mouthfeel very soft, smooth, a touch prickly. Quite a bit of bitterness overlays a fruity hop flavor, finishing with more of the pine. Interesting counterblance between fruitiness and bitterness. Finishes quite bitter which lingers into the aftertaste.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2007 I’ve had it bottle and tap. Pours a light golden amber, with good creamy head. Aroma of orange, citrus, spice, and caramel. Nice citrusy orange flavor with hoppy bitterness, and caramel malt. Juicy hops in the finish. A nice beer.

The perfect American IPA. Beats one of my favorites, too-- draught Harpoon IPA (which is near and dear to my heart, being from Boston). Body is just right-- not too light, but heavy enough to carry the malt and hops. Color is probably a little too light for an IPA, but that’s a minor complaint. Bitterness cleanses the palate without being overwhelming. Outstanding brew. Highly recommended. I would love to try this on tap some day.

Sweet,, juicy citrus aroma, passionefruit. Gold shining amber with whitish small tight head. Bitter metallic oranges. Tinny, mostly fine hopspice.
