Loved the hop to malt ratio, great color and finish was average to long and with the hops they use, it was great

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Good beer, but not as hoppy as I expected. However, very smooth with no aftertaste.
Good enough to try once.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2006 Bottle: Big piney and moderate grapefruit hops with hints of peach, apricot, and caramel. Pours a bright transparent amber with a small white head that has fair retention. Quick sweet caramel and apricot up front. Hops in the finish are mostly pine with some grapefruit and floweriness. A very well balanced IPA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 23, 2004 from the bomber into the glass / thanks kevin! / looks a little soapy, but it’s smooth, clean (at first), and juicy. floralness and grapefruit dominate. amarillo in this? not sure. suprisingly, it’s not that bitter; perhaps my palate has been assualted from something, but there’s definitely something sweet about this. the richness within this is a little stomach twister. i think this rating was done at a slightly inappropriate time. in the end of it all, the aftertaste is a bit dry and chalky. not bad, though. maybe it's because i recently had some gumballhead on tap, but i find this comparable to gumballhead and i prefer gumballhead.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Ok, this beer is supposed to be crazy hoppy, but it falls short of that expectation. Still a good beer, but not as hopilicious as I expected. However, very smooth with no aftertaste. That helps.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is my "standard" beer. The Vons (grocery store) has been stocking this regularly, and is on sale occasionally, so i always have several bottles on hand. In the past sierra nevada pale ale, and back when bridalveil was being bottled, either of those were my stock beer, no longer.
this is a great beer!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Golden amber in color with a great huge floral cascade hop aroma. Huge cascade flavour, a bit dry, thinner then I’d prefer, light on the bitterness for an IPA with some tasty biscuity malt backing things up but overall a bit simplistic.

great IPA, probably the best, but onlt second to Ruination. full bodied taste, good strong hops, rich and sweeter, not very bitter, good head and thick lacing.

THIS BEER HAS A MEGA HOPPY FLAVOR AND IS CRISP SMELLING AND TASTING. THOUGH THE AFTER TASTE IS NOT OVERBEARING, IT IS STILL ANOTHER PART OF THE BEER NOT TO BE MISSED! THIS IS THE BEST BEER I HAVE EVER HAD!
