Look up "hops" in the dictionary and youíll see a picture of Stone IPA! "Dry-hopped" for an extra two weeks, this unique process gives our IPA its bountiful hop aroma and rich hop flavor. A full 70+ IBUs (International Bitterness Units) creates this beerís crisp and refreshing bitter character.

on tap@mugs in brooklyn. i dunno, every new stone beer i taste i expect might be the one to really convince me how good this brewery is. but this seemed like a pretty typical ipa. a huge amount of hops and some decent marmalade and doughnut sweetness. nothing wrong with it in particular

Oh, Mama! Been drinking many great IPAs of late and this is one of them. This golden/amber nectar with a frothy white head attacks the nose with that citrus/hops aroma Iím coming to love. Mouthfeel was smooth and creamy and lightly carbonated. The flavor was, well, awesome. Clean, crisp, refreshing citrus notes. Just a great brew.

When it comes to IPAs, it doesnít get much better than this. Citrus, lemony hop aroma mirrored with similar flavors. Not overpowering but enough to fulfill you. Spicy lingering finish. Medium boided with nice carbonation. Well done.

Bottle. Medium white head with orange color. Stong hop aroma of grapefruit that carries over into the flavor. Long hop finish.

Bottle. pours a lovely orange color with hops apparent immediately. amazing aroma of hops, a bit of malt, and jasmine as well as other flowers. the taste is also packed with hops but not overly bitter, again a jasmine like flavor almost like jasmine tea but more bitter. very refreshing brew, great for the summer...one of the best ipaís iíve had!!!!

Bottle. hops, yeah, we got that. pours a cloudy orange yellow with a fluffy white head that sticks around to a lesser degree. has a very strong. Very strong hoppy, citrus aroma. the taste is a solid citrus/hoppy flavor that is strong without overpowering. this is the best IPA Iíve had. finishes with a touch of malt creaminess(i donít know if there is any malt in this, but that is the taste i get). but the flavor is great. it is fruity without being cloying and extremely hoppy without overpowering. this is an extremely well made beer.

Bottle. Nose is easy to describe: hops, lemon, and a little black pepper. Taste is f*****g amazing. I donít know if words can describe this, but I will try. Clean, fresh taste, with a little zest. Mouthfeel is full and very clean. First tastes notes are Early Grey tea, lemon, and black pepper. Second notes are carbonation and wood/pine. Finish is slightly dry and clean. This is hands down the most balanced beer I have ever had. This is the IPA in which I will forever measure other IPAís against.

Very nice IPA. Purchased a 22oz bottle from a local beer store. Enjoyed so much I had them order me in a case.

Bomber, from CA, 06.17.04 Pours a lightish (for an IPA) golden amber with average, thick head and immediate lacing. Hops aromas are floating about the room, sweet flowers like honeysuckle, orange blossoms. Smells absolutely scrumptious. Flavors are very nicley balanced; sweet, malty, and pungent; fruity hops. I wish the ABV was lower since itís just an IPA, not a double - Iíd like to drink a bunch and 7% prohibits that. Great feel; wet and refreshing with a quick hop bite. If I lived on the West Coast, I could imagine this being my everyday IPA. Living on the East Coast, Iím not ashamed to consistently enjoy DFH 90min and Smuttynose IPA - this beer is right on par with those. Very good, but overrated on this site.

Bitter and Hoppy from the start. Stone IPA is cascading hops with that bitter undertone. Excellent Beer!!! Hoppy and gets sweet closer to finish. Nothing more to say but Stone is awesome beer.
