4.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Had this brew while on vacation in Oceanside from No. California. Very flavorful with a great mouthfeel. The hop aroma & flavor were stupendous. The color was ideal for an IPA, & the nose great. I knew with one smell I wasnít going to be disappointed. Iím not often impressed with beers, but this one overwhelmed me. Canít wait to find it up north. May be my second favorite brew.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Another beer I should have entered a rating for by now. Next Iíll find Iíve forgotten to rate Hop Devil. Itís the malt that makes this IPA for me. Sounds wierd, but the balance is superb, the sweetness and bitterness are matched and intense. Some things Stone does are not appealing to me (see: Ruination), but this beer...I love.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz. bottle. Enjoy by: 12/07/05. A clear orange body with a thick and fluffy light-tan head at the top. Lots of pine and sap in the otherwise citrusy aroma. Fresh grapefruits, lemons and oranges in there too. Pretty floral. Itís just incredibly mouth-watering! Solidly medium-bodied. Fairly one-sided without too much sweetness. Piney and grassy with lots of grapefruits and orange rinds. The bitter hops tingle the tongue throughout. Crisp and clean. A lingering dry finish. I canít believe it took me so long to try this.

4.4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a great beer. I bought one of their big bottles at Bevmo on a whim. I poured it into my big glass and was immediately intrigued by the hoppy, almost floral aroma. The color is beautiful golden amber, with a plentiful head that stuck around for a while. The flavor was citrusy with some sweetness to it, with a crisp bitter finish and a long lasting hoppy aftertaste. If you love hops, this is a beer for you. The complexity of this beer is what is striking about it. The palate was fairly average, but Iím a cream ale kind of girl, Iím used to ultra smooth. The alcohol content is slightly evident in the aftertaste, and definetly evident when you are almost done with the beer and you get up to grab some chips. This beer packs a punch. Fantastic overall.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: SEP 29, 2006 This is an outstanding IPA. Better than a lot IIPAís iíve had. Huge citrus, grapefruit aroma. Flavor is a lot like Goose Islan IPA. Well integrated malt profile, too. Maybe the best IPA Iíve ever had. (Rerate) What an amazingly solid beer. This is the ultimate session beer.
