By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2007 A great aroma, and a nice taste, but it always leaves me with a headache. Ultimately, a little too sweet -- if you can believe that!

Awesome text book IPA. Hoppy and bitter, but balanced just perfectly within the two. Very strong on the citrus hops, floral hops are in there too. I wish I could get this more frequently over here. If youíre just getting into beer drinking and you want to know what an IPA is this is about what Iíd hand you.

This brew is in my top 5 IPAís of all time. I work at a store called Beverages and More, and go through about 8 cases a week!! By far my best selling IPA. The aroma is very floral, just how I like it!

Slightly hazy golden brew has a sharp citrus aroma, strong grapefruit note. The light body finishes with a sharp but clean bitterness that is a wash with fresh hop flavor. This is a nice west coast IPA that is hoppy with assertive bitterness but still well balanced.

Yum. Very good. Not overly hoppy or bitter. Good balance of sweetness and bitternes. Nice finish with bitterness fading into a pleasant aftertaste. huh? Iím new at this.

12oz bottle. Poured cloudy honey gold into a tulip with a medium, rapidly diminishing off-white head. Not much lacing and could stand to be less cloudy (though the cloudiness can probably be attributed to refrigeration--this bottle is ~40 degrees F). Nose is wonderfully crisp with citrus and floral notes, some sweetness. Perfect IPA aroma. Flavor is initially bitter with some butterscotch, quickly develops into hoppy pine and floral notes with a little citrus. Caramel malts become apparent shortly afterward. Really excellent balance (Iím surprised given Stoneís penchant for overhopping). Finish is medium-short, bitter and sweet. Bitterness sticks around maybe just a touch longer than I would like. Medium body on the palate, very smooth with light carbonation. Quite crisp. Perfect mouthfeel for an IPA. For 8 bucks a 6-pack I plan to fill my fridge and drink this with every meal!

Pours a gold-orange color with small head. Scent of apple, citrus, pine, and purple haze. Great roasty flavor compliments the hops really well. Pine and citrus balanced out with roasty malt. Well developed palate.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2006 Poured a slightly cloudy orange colour white a small head. Sweet apple/grapefruit aroma. Bit of a muskyness on tasting. Great bitterness level. Full, nicely rounded palate.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2007 Wow! Great IPA. Nice blend of hops, great taste goes well with most food. Great aroma, citusy; a very light lemon/lime hint in aroma and taste, nothing standing out or over powering. Good palate, not overpowering and lingers for just about the right amount of time. Overall this is a well balanced great tasting IPA and one of the ales I can drink all night. Cheers!
