UPDATED: APR 17, 2004 big on hops, somewhat cloudy but rich and full of rich malty flavors. could use a little more hops in the aftertaste area. Nice smooth finish, as it warms becomes somewhat rich and full body. Very good beer to have stocked in the box.

Poured a slightly hazy golden/copper color, moderate head. Big hop aroma, a little citrusy, some underlying malt. Flavor is big on hops but has enough buttery malt to back it up. Lingering bitter finish. Smooth round body. A damn fine IPA.

Clear dark golden color with big off-white head. Ummmm, lots of Northwest hops in the aroma, and some malt. Bitter at first, in the middle, and the end, with lingering hop aftertaste. There is malt to back it up though. A very good Amercan-style IPA.

This IPA was explosive in my mouth. I could tell if I was coming or going. I enjoyed every second. Normally the alcohol would be too high, but it seemed to hold well with the dry hopped demon.

Translucent amber, fairly small head. Cascade hop aroma is quite strong. Grapefruity. Super-hoppy, crisp. Malty adds the perfect balance. An awesome IPA.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2004 Bright orange color with a foamy white head that leaves pretty, sticky lacing down the glass. Big hop aromas and full malt flavors to balance it. Rather robust. Finishes clean with a bit of hops hanging on. Huge without being over the top. This is one of those beers that I forget about. It's so good, but I seem to pass on it for other IPA's often only to wish I had selected this one. The fact that it's so readily available here in Ohio has me taking it for granted. For shame!

Immediately reminded me of Bridgeports' IPA, which is very good. Since I had that beer a long time ago, I can't tell which is better, but this is also a very good beer. Aroma is great, of fruits. Cloudy orange with a nice sized head. Very smooth drinking despite having a strong hops character. Very solid overall.

UPDATED: OCT 9, 2004 Overall nice malt flavor, but the hops almost came off as "burnt". I'm not sure how that's possible. Weird. The fact that I saw my first girlfight in a nice bar while sipping this has to count for something lol

Aroma: scents of hops, malts, and tropical fruits. also, slight metallic scents.
Appearance: golden yellow colour. small, white head.
Flavor: sweet, malty, hoppy flavors. fills the nose and clears the sinuses.
Palate: hops that momentarily scrape the skin off the back of the tongue--other than that, remarkably smooth. slight fruity, earthy aftertaste.
Overall: not a bad IPA.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2005 Clear amber color, thin head, mild carbonation. Light floral aroma. Taste... Whoa, now that’s what I’m f’n talking about! Nice creamy texture. The hops cling to the tongue just long enough and then release so the beer finishes clean. Nice lacing on the glass. The aroma was a bit mild in this savage beer but the flavor more than makes up for it. I can’t wait to try ruination.
