COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Look up "hops" in the dictionary and you’ll see a picture of Stone IPA! "Dry-hopped" for an extra two weeks, this unique process gives our IPA its bountiful hop aroma and rich hop flavor. A full 70+ IBUs (International Bitterness Units) creates this beer’s crisp and refreshing bitter character.

Lighter color than expected- seems like the probably stuck to just pale malt without any character malts. Not to worry- this beer is all about the hops anyway. Aroma and flavor are overloaded with NW hops which pack a huge punch to the senses. Very resiny almost like that of an I2PA, yet it is still very drinkable.

Another IPA that is just way, way too hoppy for this rater. Wow! A small sized white head that was creamy and smooth with fine-medium sized bubbles that mostly diminished. The body was carboned and cloudy with a golden hue. The nose is hops without question and the flavor is bitter and very hoppy. The palate is tingly and hoppy. This is a medium-full bodied IPA with good lacing. Just too much hoppiness for someone who is not a hop head.

This bottled brew poured a large head of white colored fine to medium sized long lasting bubbles that left behind a slightly hazy carbonated light yellow brown colored body and a good lace. The aroma is all hops and the mouthfeel is tingly and stongly hopped with a lingering hop presence. It has a hoppy flavor with more hops for added flavor to go with the hop that are in the flavor next to the hops that were added to add more hoppy flavor to this very hopped brew. Did I mention that it had hops in it?

This was very nice. Very well balanced and smooth. Beautiful in the glass. Citrusy, green fresh aroma - hint of malt. Nice hop finish. Thanks again to Fly :)

Very nice, Very clean IPA flavor. not as overpowering flavor-wise as some of the other offerings from Stone Brewing. This IPA has a nice crisp flavor, and it does not linger and burn your mouth like some of the super steriod-laden IPAs created for mere shock value.

I'm not a big fan of IPAs but this beer was nice. The color is a clear orange like the picture. The bright head didn't last too long in mine but it was there. Aroma as well as flavor was a balanced malt and then it hit with the grapefruit, citrus, pepper. Excellent beer!

Clear orangish color with a white head. Intense grapefruit hops and slightly floral aroma. Very nice crisp, citric hoppy flavor. Pretty dry finish, with a strong hoppy aftertaste.

hoppy hoppy hoppy. got love those hops. I wonder if it is some nice casscade hops that give it a citrus flavor. One of my favorite IPA's.

UPDATED: AUG 28, 2011 December 2003: Very nice resinous, floral hops aroma. In my mouth there is a marriage of hops and ,malts, with some citrus dancing around.... very good! 7-3-8-4-15

Double Dry Hopped version on tap at Oregon Brewer’s Fest, July 31 2011: An orange amber IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, pungent and fragrant floral hops, resinous, with a bit of catnip. In outh, a good biscuitty malt with very resinous pungent hops, mentol, coniferous, quite nice and challenging. 8-3-8-4-15

Bought in the ubiquitous 22 oz brown bomber..with as always the imformative back panel. Ok this is simply a marvelous IPA to just look at..a work of art it seems a shame to have to drink it! Hazy light amber colour with a fantatsic large creamy white head..even the carbonation strings seem perfect! Well the aroma of the hops is also great..its a treat to the nasal passages, quite flowery but yet not sweet smelling. well what can is ay about the taste but hops, hops, hops yet it alo has a creamy sweetness..that isnt completelly over whelmed by the hops ( this must be a Stone thing, I tasted the same in the 03-03-03 Vertical)..very nice. Great feel in the mouth with just the right amount of hop aftertatse to keep one coming back for another sip. Most drinkable IPA I ever had..very good indeed.
