3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Golden amber in color with a great huge floral cascade hop aroma. Huge cascade flavour, a bit dry, thinner then I’d prefer, light on the bitterness for an IPA with some tasty biscuity malt backing things up but overall a bit simplistic.

THIS BEER HAS A MEGA HOPPY FLAVOR AND IS CRISP SMELLING AND TASTING. THOUGH THE AFTER TASTE IS NOT OVERBEARING, IT IS STILL ANOTHER PART OF THE BEER NOT TO BE MISSED! THIS IS THE BEST BEER I HAVE EVER HAD!

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Poured with a light amber color. Large whitish head. Aroma is like opening a bag of hops when brewing. Flavor is smooth malt and nice hop finish. Really nicely made.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2006 Had to re-rate. As I’ve had much more ipa’s recently and have had the opportunity to learn, this is much better than initially tasted.
Freshness is what comes off this brew. Citrus and pine esthers take me away to another place. Easy-drinking balanced ale with ample body along with the hop presence. Very dry finish with the requisite bitter finish. Not over-done as I believe Ruination to be. But hey, I may just have to re-rate that one, too.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange and pine hop nose. Good clarity in orange golden body with dense and lasting white head.Very nice lacing. Bitterness though noticable does not seem overpowering. Sweet malts shine through to balance nicely. Orange and spicy pine-like flavours in the crisp, dry finish. Body is medium. Alcohol not at all apparent. Very tasty. Bottle. Thanks Dorwart.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great IPA from an awesome brewery! Nice orange color with the same flavor nose. Wonderful hop aroma and full taste. Kind of a fleeting finish compared to many IPA’s, but still leaves you wanting more. Very good IPA

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The grim, growling gargoyle glares at you from the label, both offering protection from all things bland and dire, and also daring those not ready to indulge in a torrent of flavor to begone, and be untroubled by these blissful beers.
Appearance: a perfect, peachy hue, and a good, frothy white head.
Nose: somethin’ else! A panoply of fruit, a citric cornucopia! Peaches and apricot, grapefruit, pineapple, melon, berries, and more, all in one little aroma!
Alert and lively, zesty, generous, and gorgeous!
Taste: superb! Fantastic flavor, yet none too bitter. A huge blast of hops jumps on the tongue, but not so severely. A firm body, also, excellent balance and malt backbone.
More of a piney feel comes through as we drink, but it’s a minor note among so many others. Finish is medium, but tasty and satisfactory.
This is an IPA the way they are supposed to be!
If these excellent ales were available in my area, you can be sure that my fridge would be stocked well with these! Tasty, and drinkable, and rewarding!
