| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 23, 2009 Bottle. Pale and diaphanous like a spiced blond with an uneven, tufting whip of suds; some serious thick Belgian condition pushing a perfect 5 for looks and feel...Aroma immediately greener and leafier than the Mikkeller JB I’ve just seen off; tomato leaf on the pop, becoming piney, lemon sherbet and tangerine-accented. Buttery sweet malt and a good wring of green like BrewDog’s paler efforts, especially The Punk; resins, pine, pollen, mellow lemon sherbet and soapy hop with a hint of orange zest; vanilla and cheesecake base malt, a little alcohol harshness (fair game at 6.9%); tweak of lime in the afters and some fantastic green hop on the burp. Raspy bitterness, balanced. If this was a quid a bottle in Tesco, I’d be downing it like The Dog. Give it 12 months. Quality. BobbyAnalog (20), California, USA
| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Oct 22, 2009 Bitterness that mashes your tastebuds into a sort of shock, this IPA ropes up big bold flavors and top tier hoppiness. Rich and effortlessly bombastic as the Stone company itself, this ale is hearty, rich and refuses to pull any punches. ROGUE (641), Newark, Delaware, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 21, 2009 22oz bottle. Poured a clear golden ambe with a two finger, foamy eggshell white head. A huge piney and citrus HOP aroma. The taste has a brief sweet malt presence that is quickly smashed by the big floral hop flavor. It finishes with a nice bitterness and a citrus kick. A great IPA. dwaggs2 (534), Lee’s Summit, Missouri, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 20, 2009 Bottle. Poured a hazy orange color with an off white head that went quick. Aroma was citrus hops and floral hops. Flavor was a lot of hops. Very well balanced though. A sweeter ipa. Very good. Love this IPA. phildorsey (43), Fort Lewis, Washington, USA
| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 16, 2009 1 pint 6 oz. Bottle. Pours Golden/Amber; head is thick and foamy. Citrus hops dominate the aroma with flavors of lemon and orange. A sensation...more citrus flavors with the swallow; lemons dominate...somewhat sweet, lightly bitter...an everyday beer with a top notch taste. A classic... Appearance was a little lacking, but overall one of my favorites! tedovertu (260), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Lovely flavor. Major hops with grapefruit and some pine. Medium yellow amber color with medium white head. Right up there with two hearted and furious. I love a great IPA. Braincage1 (139), Cary, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 13, 2009 Bottle. An ordinary hazy golden color with a medium sized, lasting, off white head. Strong grapefruit and hops in the aroma. Notice first... sweet... like brown sugar then a nice easy transition to hops and a restrained grapefruit bitterness. For a special occasion I would prefer this over a Sierra Nevada.
