kpresley77 (133), Jackson, Georgia, USA Sep 30, 2008 Bottle pours clear light golden with 1cm white head with nice lacing. Aroma is pine and sweet malt. First taste is somewhat sweet but hops bitterness quickly appears and dominates the flavor. Finish is lingering pine hops burn. Nice IPA. jonno (542), Brisbane, Australia Sep 29, 2008 A lot softer than I was expecting. Very much a sessionable IPA, altough go easy witht the ABV. THe obligatory pine hops were there, but this is a very smooth beer..."quaffable" for want of a better term nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle. Poured a gold/orange color with a two finger white head. Aroma of pine hops. Flavor was well balanced with malt. Medium body with good carbonation. SSSteve (2047), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 26, 2008 slightly hazy orange hued gold under a medium sized creamy white head. good lacing. a very sharp looking beer. hoppy(peach, apricot, pear, pine) scented with sweet pale malt. flavor is perfectly malted to match the beers hop content. pine, peach, white grape blend with a bready malt. malty enough for balance but still letting the hops take the stage. medium bodied. a real quality ipa. mcc5468 (102), USA Sep 26, 2008 Nice orange color. Medium head. Great pine hop aroma. Big hop taste. Alcohol is well hidden. Just a great example of an APA/IPA. Great beer. Would definitely buy again, and again.... zappafan99 (462), South Carolina, USA Sep 26, 2008 Taste 9/8 Bottle. Looks: Copper, small head. Aroma: Blend of strong hops. Taste: Very big flavor blended very well. Almost a double IPA in taste. Nice, high quality brew. BeerBelcher (930), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 25, 2008 I would agree with others who’ve called this beer balanced. This is a really easy-drinking IPA that I could probably drink all night. I love variety and beers that are extreme, but I’d buy a six-pack of this to drink at a party or wherever...there’s been a lot of talk about "session" beers on this site, and I’d nominate this one.
Pours an amber body with good head. Aroma is distinctly hoppy, but not over the top. There is some light sweetness and citrus notes. Flavor is hoppy with a significant malt backbone. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean. Very drinkable, but not too unusual or exciting. Still good though.
I’d buy this again and recommend it. SurlySober left this at my house, and I have no idea where he got it. doboy (175), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Sep 25, 2008 At a tasting at Priscillas in Morehead City, NC. Balanced. That was the word for this fine IPA. Poured a golden yellow with a good head. The aroma is floral with the hops. Smell is strong, but the taste is balanced, not over the top. Bittering on the back end is excellent.
