By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

First smell welcomes flowers in your nose. Firs sip is a harmony of citrus, sweet caramel malt, some pine and freshness. Sip after sip it grows. Slowly the real bitterness becomes clear, but never hindering the complete palate with is carbonization and complex taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

One a few goto beers on a mass production I feel is perfect. Big hoppy aroma of mango stone fruit and pine. Very hoppy bitterness on the palate and perfect hoppy crisp finish.

HopsandBolts (190) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 30, 2015
On tap at the Bier Markt Ottawa.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a trace of white head. Not a lot of lacing.

Aroma: Pine and more pine.

Flavours: Pine and some grapefruit.

Mouthfeel: Average viscosity and carbonation.

Overall: This is a decent but highly overrated IPA. Lots of the pine aroma and flavour but not much else. How this gets a 100/100 rating on ratebeer I’ll never know.

Pours golden orange with a white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, floral notes. The flavour is dominated by pine with some sweet malts coming through before a long bitter aftertaste.

Attractive golden amber with a haziness about it. Fruity and juicy tropical fruit aroma - passionfruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, pine, honey, lightly toasted bread. Lots of pine and grassy hops in the taste, with grapefruit, honey and biscuit. A little metallic in the aftertaste. Light to medium bodied. Pretty solid IPA.

(Tap) Tropicla, citrus, grassy. Hops are too overpowering, and aftertaste is astringent. I don’t like it.

Pours golden orange with a small but pillowy off-white head, leaving sporadic lacing. Aroma is citrus and stone fruit hop bitterness and malt sweetness. Flavor is consistent with the smell but in reverse - starts with good malt balancing but ends with a good hop bitterness that lingers until the next sip. A little sticky on the palate.
