Aug 2, 2008 22oz bottle. Citric hop aroma with a slight floral scent. Two finger foamy head that last about 3 minutes and leave a nice lace. Light orange in color with visible carbonation. Taste is very hoppy with a slight maltiness in the background. Good carbonation makes this crisp and refreshing. One of my favorite all time IPA’s. Great out of the bottle, even better on tap.

Pours a nice clear gold ith nice white head. Aroma of grapefruit and sweet malt. Flavor is very nice, grapefruit hops, bold heavy malt flavor, nice strong bitter....This is an excellent IPA, full bodied and high carbonation....I like this stuff!.

Jul 31, 2008 22 oz. bottle. This might have been a little old. Pours a nice golden orangish hazed hue with a nice white head that sticks around and laces. Aromas were sweet and citrusy. Initial wasn’t as bitter as expected, but largely citrusy and sweet, lacking a defining malt character. Light bodied. Perhaps this has been on the shelf long enough to take away some of the hop bite. A very good beer, very sessionable, but nothing like the hop bomb I expected for this supposed top tier IPA. Rerate pending.. for now, a good beer but a little dissappointed from expectations.

Jul 29, 2008 Bottle. Golden amber color with an oily but small head. Nice aroma of heavy citrus hops and very faint malt. Bold bitterness, and a very very light sweetness. An excellent IPA specimen.

Jul 28, 2008 This is an extremely fresh bottle, only about two weeks old I believe. Pours a light clear orange that is quite vibrant with a little bit of white head that fades fast and leaves just a little bit of lacing. Smell is tons of citrus and pine hops with nice malt backbone that supports the hops quite nicely. Taste is just a pleasurable balance of the citrusy/piney hops with a caramel/biscuity malt support. Really smooth and easy to drink. An exceptional IPA.

Jul 28, 2008 bottle thanks to metzlers in denton tx. poured a clear gold with a white head. decent retention and lacing was present. aroma was slightly grapefruit and hops were noticable. flavor left me a little disappointed for an IPA. maybe i will try it again.

Jul 27, 2008 Great brew. This is my standard IPA. Easy drinking at a relatively high %. Hops, malts, but they are overbearing this beer can be drank fast.
