By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

On tap at Toronto’s most lame Louis Cifer is a great find. Not as hoppy as expected, but with a solid core of bitterness throughout. Didn’t measure up to the Great Lakes Karma Citra I had after it, but still pretty solid.

Amber colored, unclear, medium white head. Strong aroma of grapefruit and pine, very hoppy. Taste is some caramel malts, not too sweet, and very bitter grapefruit and even more pine hoppiness. Dry. Aftertaste is long and quite bitter. Medium bodied.

Poured from 12oz bottle into St Bernardus glass. Pours golden with head and lace. Aroma of light grains, sweet malts, caramel. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of straw hops, grains, light malts. Overall rich, flavorful, somewhat bitter with significantly more hops than malts.

TEJA (1540) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 21, 2015
Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Long lasting off white head. Clear golden beer. Firm american hop aroma with a tuch of bergamott. Big hop taste with a solid bitternes that is balanced with all other taste in the beer. The sweetness is low but balance the bitterness. Well fermented to give a dry finnish.

Pours a hazy orange with off-white head. Huge fruit bouquet aromas. Peach, citrus, papaya, passion fruit with a hint of caramel malt. Palate is all hop bomb bitterness with just enough malt in support. Oily mouthfeel. Medium body. Great carbonation. Long lingering bitter finish. What is a west coast ipa? Drink this.

An amber semi-transparent color with a creamy white (minimal) head. Fruity/hoppy aroma with a taste that doesn't have the fruit but plenty of hoppy bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
