Stone India Pale Ale (IPA)

Bottle: One of my staple IPAs. You can never go wrong going back to this one. Pours a beautiful golden color with a nice, small, white head. Smells like hops and citrus. Flavor is a decent amount of hops, but not overdone. Wonderfully balanced out with sweet malt and a floral undertone. Has a perfect amount of bitterness in the finish and isn’t so overpowering that even non-hopheads can appreciate this one. Extremely crisp and refreshing.

I am surprised it took so long to review this offering from Stone.Poured a golden color with a decent white head.Aromas were of nice sweet hops,with citrus and grapefruit,of course.The taste is somewhat sweet with hints of light citus and caramel,with light spice on the finish.Good IPA.

Poured golden with a white head. The aroma is sweet and hoppy. Taste is crisp and bitter with a hoppy flavor.

the monstrous white fluff and commanding lace complement the cloudy gold color nicely. the aroma is replete with grapefruit and pine, but with a brooding maltiness underlying. it mocks my pretenses by being extremely drinkable, with an intriguing floral sweetness that is the perfect blend of hops and maltiness. i thought it would be twice as hoppy. finish is spicy and bitter. the head was still there well into the beer. dear lord, it’s lovely.

Golden color with a nice white head. Aroma is spicy with hops, taste is not as bitter as expected, which I liked.

Pours golden with decent head. Hop presence which is well-balanced by malt. Nice lingering finish really rounds out the bitterness. Not as bitter as I thought it would be but definitely one of my favorite IPAs.
