Stone India Pale Ale (IPA)

Looks tanned gold and slightly cloudy. Aroma of pine and bread and grapefruit. Flavour has strawberries (!?), lemon, grapefruit, and a tasty dose of hop bitterness. There is some dryness in the aftertaste. Medium to heavy body. The bitterness fills my palate (as it should), but is restrained enough to retain guzzlability. Where did my pint go?

Bottle. A very good IPA I thought. Darkish gold with a thin white head. Obviously hoppy. Grapefruit, nice bitterness. Refreshing and one I would definitely drink again. I’m liking Stone’s work.

12oz bottles. Pours a slight cloudy yellow colour. A nice hop punch to it, quite tasty and smooth. Doesn’t live up to the hype though. Have had better IPAs, but its still damn good.

Poured light amber, nose is all floral hops, very pleasant aroma. Flavor was more floral hops, the malts I thought were nicely blended. Very nice IPA. Will definitely have this again.

awesome ipa!! could put this stuff on i.v..very hoppy bite but not to the point of turpentine.one of the cleanest tasteing ipa iv ever had.

as expected, a winner in every way.....floral citrus and pine on the nose with an oily hop coating and faint malt. just the right amount of carbonation to be very refreshing. very nice long hoppy finish. Stone never lets me down!

8/22/09 Double Dry Hopped draft version. Nose is fresh hops, period. Piney. Taste is spot on perfect I.P.A. Oily & sticky. I mean the hop oils really coat your tongue. It’s special.

Had this bad boy while visiting Hollywood... picked it up from a random pharmacy. A great and solid IPA, as we have come to expect from Stone.
