3.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at ACL festival. Faint pine, dank smell and nothing else. Poor serving quality most likely ?!
Light foam that stays forever. Taste of resin, grapefruit, spruce, citrus. Light body with perfect carbonation, dry finish with piny, resiny aftertaste.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Citrusy, hoppy and grassy in aroma and taste. Nothing more to say. A great IPA, all about the hops.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A great simple citrusy hoppy IPA. The standard for a good IPA in my book. Stone sets the bar high with this brew.

Another solid IPA from Stone. Had again recently. An all around nice IPA. A good bomber cheap quick IPA fix.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is light citrus tropical fruit aroma hopping. Appearance is crystal clear golden with small off white head. Taste is very well rounded. Grapefruit hop bitterness closely followed by a nice caramel honey malt. Mildly undesirable chalkiness. Palate medium full. Lingering grapefruit bitterness with a light sweet malt keeping it in balance. Overall a nice IPA. I expect more in the aroma for the style, but still enjoyable.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Surprised itís taken me this long to drink this. Pours clear light amber with frothy white head, good retention. Aroma is dominated by bright, clean citrus hops. Some resin and caramel follow, once the nose has recovered from the initial punch. Taste: assertive bitterness up front, carried along by moderate sweetness, giving way to a long, lingering bitter finish. The bitter finish starts off refreshing, but is at times overly harsh. Medium body, verging on full. Slick, almost sticky texture with lively carbonation. Overall: This is a remarkably solid IPA, though I expect nothing less from Stone. I appreciate that itís available in 6-packs. Iíve been thinking lately that itís high time I think again about price point -- when one can buy 72 oz of a fine IPA like this for $10, one begins to reconsider how quick he is to spend $8-9 on a single bomber of other IPAs.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured a hazy light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is grassy with loads of fruit and a hint of caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with a grassy hop, nettle liqourice creamy palate. A classic IPA and one of the very best.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hard to believe this is my very first time drinking Stone IPA. Fresh, earthy hop aroma supported by juicy/tropical hops.
Fruity and citric hop profile initially; far less "West Coast" than I expected. Beautiful hop/malt balance. Despite disliking most Single IPAs, I can actually see myself buying this one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle pour that paired lovely with Chicken Andouille Sausage and Tater Tots (with ketchup). Strong sweet aroma of candied pine needles (yes, that pretentious) moving quickly to bitter hops in the mouth. Stone Cold Solid (or something like that).

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours golden clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, citrus and fruit. Taste is the same aroma with grapefruit juice, citrus, bitter hops and pine. Medium bodied with good carbonation and balance. Prefer imperial IPAís but this is a good brew.
