By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Excellent hop aroma from a orange pour and big white fluffy head. Stone fruit mango and pine needles in aroma. Very bitter taste but not too aggressively bitter well balanced with the mild malts finishes real clean and crisp and hoppy.

Tap @ de klomp. Amber color and a white head with large bubbled and almost no lacing. Lemon, lime, bread and and some background mango and pine apple. Bitter dry taste with lasting assertive bitterness. Flavors or lemon, lime, oranges and some pine and bread. Caramel in the aftertaste. Classic ipa.

Pours golden with persistent white head. Strong citric aroma, lime orange and some pine. Taste is bitter with light sweetness. A bit dry palate. Bitter finish and light-medium body. Really nice IPA.

A 12 fl oz bottle with a bottled date of 21th July 2015 and an enjoy by date of 19th October 2015. Poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It poured a clear golden copper colour with a one finger white head that had good retention and leaves nice spotty lacing. Aromas were fainter than I expected but starts with tropical mango and pineapple before turning to pine, grass and citrus lemon zest. Tastewise, there was none of the tropicalness from the smell, but strong lemon zest, hop bitterness, floral and grassiness. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Overall, this was only just ok for me. It wasn’t bad and I would drink it again but for example I prefer Stone’s Go To IPA.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a 20oz mug. A - Poured amber orange with a quickly-dissipating head. S - Light fruit and hop aromatics, relatively weak on the nose. T - Smooth, light malts, quickly dissipating into both fruity and floral hop flavors, smoothing and sweetening out into a boozy aftertaste. M - A bit fizzy, but very creamy and smooth for an IPA. It settles in well to let the palate talk. O - While many other west coast style IPAs blow this one out of the water, it’s still very smooth, balanced, and the hops sit in all the right ways.

- Nose: citrus-y (grapefruit + v light orange – satsuma?); caramel malts; a little peach; a little pine. - Body: slightly creamy/oily (makes sense with high ABV); grapefruit + pine come to fore more, but meet their match in the (caramel?) malts. - Finish: medium-long finish, crisp with a little hop-bitter fade. - A golden delight and pretty good benchmark US IPA? Citrus, not too pine-y, a good weight + malt balance whilst still managing a crisp finish #StoneMe1 #1001Beers
