4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
12oz bottle. Pour was a hazy orange with a finger of off-white head that took some time to disappear. The aroma is fantastic. Notes of apricot, grapefruit and tropical fruits. Mouth....where do I begin. Delicious! The fruitiness hits the palette right away with a mild hop bite. Grapefruit and apricot through to a somewhat dry finish. Good lacing. Very tasty.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can't believe I never rated this and also can't believe I've overlooked how great this standard bearer is. Delicious biscuity malts are nearly overwhelmed by piney resiny hops and grapefruit citrus notes. Similar flavors on the palate and super well balanced. This is one of those beers that you always look past for something more interesting or to get a new tick. That's a mistake. This is good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper beer with a big foamy head. Nice fruity and sweet hoppy aroma. Medium body. Soapy, mildly grape fruity, balanced bitterness and sweetness. Iíd like to have a chance to enjoy a more fresh batch than this one. This is a very good IPA.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Presentation: 22 oz. brown bottle with an "enjoy by" date printed on the neck. Served in a Samuel Adams pint glass.
Appearance: One finger head goes down eventually and stays there until the end. It has a clear, bright gold color, and leaves some very nice lacing.
Smell: The smell is fantastic, with a dominating herbal hop scent and some pine, fruit and spice notes present too.
Taste: This beer has a big hop character, overwhelmingly so. Itís very herbal, spicy and bitter. Youíve gotta love hops to really appreciate the details and character in this. If you donít itíll be just another (albeit good) strong, bitter brew.
Moutfeel: It feels creamy, full bodied and smooth. It leaves a tingling sensation on the palate thatís quite curious.
Overall: An amazing brew in every single aspect. If you love hops, IPAís or just something crisp, bitter and challenging, youíll love this beer. If you donít, youíll probably be put off by the intensity of it all.

Stone IPA is very hoppy but not overally bitter thanks to the malt backbone. Nice mouthfeel and a smooth finish.

This was the beer that opened my mind to a whole new world and I've never turned back. It's a favorite that I always fall back to and will compare all other IPAs to.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a finger and a half of white head that settles in minutes, thin lacing. Aroma is hoppy, resinous, bitter, and oily. Flavor is hoppy, resinous, moderately bitter, piney, with a very mild malt background. Bitter, very slightly soapy finish. Soft to moderate carbonation, medium body, crisp texture, and slightly oily mouthfeel. A very good IPA.
