By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2016 Big, bold, hoppety-hoppy, resinous - I get it: it sets the standard for initiating old-world tastebuds to West-Coast IPA zesty-bitterness with the subtlety of a forced skydive. Expertly brewed, inspiring awe but not overzealous amounts of affection in my Belgian-for-balance-educated palate. // Rerate as Stone Berlin IPA, 33cl Dose canned JUN2016: not the most aroma-forward of IPAs, mainly foamy proteins, wet pine and even a whiff of alcohol, really. well-dosed layers of mainly pine and woodbark, pith and fruit rinds in taste against a condensed pale malt base. The bitterness outlasts the lustre...update recipe 2.0?

Can, brewed in Berlin. Aroma is slightly medicinal, some tropical fruits, hints of citrus, spruce, mango and apricot. Golden orange, hazy, small white head. Light to medium sweetness, medium+ bitterness, taste is apricot, peach, some light malty tones. Medium body, average carbonation, long finish with some fruity tones and almost harsh bitterness. Classic ipa, with some disturbing elements.

Rich golden color with some light malt at the beginning with slight grapefruit. Finishes tart and a bit bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I’ve had this from can. In the begining yellowish colour with nice white head but disappering really fast after few minutes, then some bitternes, some pine and grapefruit in taste but nothing else... I’m a litle bit dissapointed.

Very nice clear gold colour with a large, foamy and lasting head. Pine, resin, citrus and full malty aromas. Medium malty sweetness and high bitterness. Very well balanced. Long, tart grapefruit finish. This is a great IPA but quite tame and lacking definition by today’s standards. The competition has increased plenty since 1997.

Can from bierlinie in Berlin. Pours clear orange with soft white head. Nose is floral, citrus, ginger. Palate is bitter, bread, hay, but with soft fruity undertones. Finish is long and bitter. This is a really bitter IPA, but it’s still very drinkable. Good!

33cl can. Clear blonde. Zesty grapefruit and orange hop aroma. Rather big mouthfeel, spicey and herbal hops, bitterness lingers on for quite a while. Nice.

Clear golden color with white head. Strong aroma of pines, grapefruits, little caramel and tropical fruits. Loads of hops in taste, combined with pine and grapefruits. Soft carbonation. West coast IPA done right, well recommended!

Puszka 0,33l. Aromat intensywnie chmielowy, rześki i przyjemny. W smaku wytrawnie, chmielowo, delikatnie alkoholowo. Goryczka umiarkowana.

Tap. Deep honey pour with foamy white head. Really solid hop taste throughout - adds some hair on the chest! Quite drinkable too. A very standard IPA, and I mean that as a compliment.

Completely decent IPA like so many others, but does not do anything spectacular to warrant the insane ratings.
