By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Damn good! Outta control hops ! Big taste! Lasting lace. Just dry enough. I love IPA style and this is probably the best. Highly recommend. (Bottle to tulip)

Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen, London. It pours a light amber golden colour with a decent white head that lasts. Aroma is tropical fruits, a rich citrus nose, piney hops and some earthy notes. Taste is fresh citrus, sweet fruit, piney and earthy taste and it finishes with a relatively strong bitterness that lingers in the aftertaste. It has a medium body, decent carbonation and a dry finish. This is a quintessential American IPA. This beer is classified among the best of its category. I would drink it again.

Not a huge fan of the style; but if I had to choose one, this would be in my top 5 (along with Lagunitas, Russian River, Victory, and Ninkasi). Pours nicely from 12 oz bottle with golden body, citrus aromas, and pillowy head. As advertised, the beer is aggressively hopped to deliver ample citrus notes and tangy a flavor profile. The genius is that Stone’s version is not overwhelmingly bitter as many ’unsophisticated’ IPA’s tend to be.

Good use of hops, a lot of citrus and sticking out. Dark golden color with a foamy white head. The taste is well balanced, and really enjoyable. Overall, a really nice single IPA.

Appealing amber color with a nice hoppy aroma. Nice and smooth going down. Great beer with after taste of hops around my mouth. I get a nice warm feeling as I finish this beer.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2007 Bottle. Typical IPA color with a nice, foamy head and good lacing. Very flowery aroma for an IPA. Flavor is fruity and bitter and perfectly balanced. This IPA is well deserving of it’s lofty status. Maybe my favorite beer. Re-rate - This is my favorite beer on the face of this earth, so I have to give it a 5.

The definition of an IPA. If you’re on ratebeer and haven’t tried it I’m confused. Enjoy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz Bottle poured golden copper with an orange tint. You know the drill, HOPS on the nose. Very citrusy. Taste is very citrusy as well almost fruity. Has a unique flavor that I can’t detect. Overall another good beer from Stone. Have Another? yeah
