By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2003 My wife was about to kill me for ordering these. Not available in Illinois, so I had six of them shipped from California and it was worth every penny. If you like IPA's, this is excellent. The aroma makes you want to stick your face into the glass until you run out of air. The flavor is very hoppy but also easily drinkable. Dogfish head 90 minute IPA is the only beer I've had with more hop flavor but not near the aroma or smoothness of this one. This is near perfect. Just picked up a keg of this stuff. Not as hoppy as my first impression, but a great overall beer.

12oz bottle. Poured a clear bronze with a nice head and visible lacing. Very floral and citrus aromas that continues into the palate along with piney flavor. This is a very medium bodied IPA with a very smooth upfront taste that finishes with the classic bitterness. This is one of the most unique IPA’s I have tried and is very drinkable.

Pale orange in appearance, excellent fruity and slightly malty flavor. Mildly hopped (to my San Diego-style IPA taste buds). Mildly sharp taste on the palate. Overall a great beer; goes down well and is extremely easy to drink.

Stone is consistent. I have been drinking their IPA for many years and cannot notice any change. There might be one or two brews out there to offer a challenge, but for the price, this is my staple IPA. Pour, head, aroma, fllavor, mouthfeel, finish are all top notch. I sure am glad somebody can make a beer this good, regularly. Thanks, guys!

Cloudy dark apple cider color with generous carbonation. Subdued hoppy aroma. Great, somewhat bubbly mouthfeel. Nice consistency.

Foamy white head over a cloudy orange beer. Brilliant hop bouquet. Cascade citrus, spicyness, grapefruit some floral notes as well as earthiness. Intense bitter bite, just enough malt to balance. Grapefruit starts to come through. Medium to light body. This is the IPA pushed as far as it can go without having to up the malt/body. Very, very good.

Very clear golden color with a nice white head. Smell is of spicy hops with a hint o citrus. The taste is very crisp and hoppy. The herbal, piny hops it first with the fruity hops adding immediately after. A nice malt presence envelops and cleanses the pallet to lead to a nice, smooth finish. The drinkability of this brew is astounding. Quite possibly one of the smoothest IPAs I’ve ever had. Another top notch brew from stone. Reviewed on: 08-17-2007

Orange colour with a generous, lasting head. This hoppy IPA is really good...floral nose with hops and fruit taste and good bitter finish. Definitely a superior IPA.

19apr06 one bottle for $3. Great taste. Great aroma. I like the bottle too, so great marketing. Grassy and alcohol. Just wish I could get six packs without paying so much for it. Of course, sometimes when you wanna drink good beer, you’re gonna pay up for it. oh well.

12 oz. bottle. Exactly what I look for in an IPA. Refreshing, very drinkable, and no overpowering bitterness like a lot of double/imperial IPAs. Aroma is citrusy, with a hint of mint. Color is pure gold and clear. Very white moderate head. Citrus very noticeable in the taste. Slight soapiness in the finish. I hope to "borrow" many more from my brother.
