By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Small white head with a clear light orangeish body. Lovely hoppy aroma, citrusy with a hint of pine. Nice bitter flavor.

This appeared a lot lighter in the glass then I had expected, but was still a nice pale gold colour. The head was a healthy 3 fingers of cloud-like creamy texture. The lacing coated the glass, to where it was opaque - cool. Smell, oh, the smell. Grapefruit citrus, and pine hops, all in attendance, right where they should be, which follow through to shine in the taste. Firm body, nice balance, sufficient carbonation, dry - can a big IPA like this be called silky smooth?

Fantastic IPA. Great example of the style. Appearance is a golden pale. Nice head and solid lacing Smell is hops, hops, hops. Citrus dominate with some pine and floral hints. Taste is hoppy, citrus, floral, bitter. Great balance between bittering hops and flavor hops. Finish isnít sweet but there is a dry malt flavor on the very back end. Mouthfeel is very nice. Drinkability is terrific if you are a fan of the style. If you donít like IPAís..this one isnít for you. Great beer. Itís simplistic: hops are hops and malts are malts. Not overly complex but everything is in perfect balance allowing one to enjoy this fine beer in all itís glory. Well done. Serving type: bottle

NTH TRIAL: Pours a brilliant golden color with a slight white head; aroma is the perfect amount of citrus-y, floral hops (definitely there, but nothing overboard); flavor is smooth and delicious with citrus bitterness, biscuity malts, and a great finish that sits in the corners of your mouth. This beer is fantastic, and although it’s ~7% ABV, it’s currently my session beer of choice. It embodies what IPAs should be, and although I wasn’t that excited to hear that Stone had finally made it to Wisconsin, as I sit here in my favorite chair and sip away at a Stone IPA, I’m now completely delighted.

Bottle. Pours a deep gold color with a smallish white head. Aroma of fresh hops. Taste is very hoppy with a strong pine presence. Very fresh taste. Slighter thick palate. The flavor of pine lingers for a long time. A pretty good beer and a great example of an IPA.

12 oz to pint. Nice white frothy head with good retention. The aroma is as expected for a beer with an obvious multitude of hop varieties... extemely stong but not overpowering, a lot of citrus/fruity notes as well as a some caramel and clove notes. The bitterness overpowers the maltiness but in a good way. Has a medium body with a slick texture and a long finish. Very happy with this beer.

One of my favorite IPAs. Nice golden color with a nice thick head. Very hippy in flavor but not over powering. One of the better IPAs.

Pours pale golden with monster head. Nice retention and great lacing. Nose is predictable... Citrus, pine, resin and dry hay. Flavor is pleasant. Orange peel, vegetable greens and roasty wood finish. Thin on the palate. Solid ipa, but not the revelation I was expecting
