By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

as it pours into the glass, you are greeted by a beautiful golden beer, with cascading bubbles and a perfect hop aroma. on the palate, the hoppiness is just right, setting of the nice malty flavors hidden beneath. delicious, drinkable and perfect

Not what I like in an IPA...It starts out ok then fizzles. Doesnt leave that nice hop finish....but I drank it all.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2013 Bitter, dry, hoppy. Citrus flavor and aromas. Fairly pale and light bodied. Good, but has fallen behind compared to some of the IPAs that have been coming out.

Bronze color with a very small, white head that fades very quickly. The smell is of a nice hoppy citrus. The taste has a very nice fruity hoppy flavor, followed by a nice bitterness. The mouthfeel is creamy.

Pours a golden yellow slightly clouded. Nice from the head. Citrus floral smell. Hope bitterness is good with a girly nice dry finish. All together a solid IPA.

This brew is strong yet refreshing, crisp and hoppy. The hops triggered a response from my parietal glands. As my salivary glands started to spam, my ears and sinuses reacted in kind. This brew is phenomenal. It is not for those that proclaim patronage to the non-bitter beer institute. As the good book says, don’t cast pearls before swine. This beer is for the conesuer, for one who appreciates perfection. California ales are definitely leading the way for these hop righteous brews. Stone and a few others are defining the new era in IPA brewskies!

F-ing great. Smell the supercharged Cascade like aroma of the Centennial, taste the 2 row and crystal malts, swallow and feel the smooth bitter bite of the Centennial hops and just revel in the glory of this beaut.

Copper orange in color. Aroma of pine and all-purpose cleaner. Vinegar, peach, banana, and pineapple with a flowery, over-hopped finish. I like this one, but I’ve always found it lacking a certain caramel balance.

This is a very solid, hoppy IPA. Generous hops on the aroma and in the flavor. Notes of pine and citrus in the aroma. The flavor and finish are also quite bitter and floral and not too sweet, with at most medium carbonation. I like the Ruination IPA more, but this is a good IPA.

12 oz. -> shaker. At first blush, this is just your ordinary IPA: pours a translucent light amber, with a nice, frothy head and decent lacing. Then you smell it, and something seems off: hoppy, citrus, with subtle apricot and evergreen notes, and bubble gum? But when you taste it, you know this is no ordinary IPA.. Mixed in with the flora-citrus hoppiness and the subtle toasted maltiness are Bubblicious and the subdued bite of fresh black pepper. And balance? Perfect.
