4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Another score for stone brewing company. This heavily hopped american IPA is a beauty. Copper/bronze and clear with vivacoius bubbles and average head with a gorgeous hop aroma. As an IPA lover and hophead I appreciate the somewhat overtly hopped nature of the beer. It is certainly a little out of balance in favor of the hops though. The malt is just there like a backdrop, a canvas for Lee Chase's bitter palate of warrior, centennial, and whatever else he has hiding in there. I could buy a six-pack of this and drink two a night after work and be happy.

First and foremost I am usually not a IPA fan, I prefer darker beers. But this is quite a well made beer. Very Very Hoppy with a lot of flavor in it. A little bit of bitterness and a fruity flavor but overall a good beer. This is my first Stone Bewing Beer so I look forward to trying the rest of the line-up

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
One of my all time favorites. Golden color, substantial head when properly poured. Love the big grapefruit nose! Awesome citrus, crisp taste. Dangerously chugable. HOPS! Mmmmm

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Hazy golden color with hoppy resinous aroma. Crisp. Floral honey bitterness lasts on the tongue. Near perfect IPA and one of my favorites. This one is all about the hops.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
As close to a perfect American IPA as I’ve ever tasted (being a hop head). Grapefruit / citrus hop aroma (Simcoe Hop) and nice bitterness - nice body, full flavor, touches of malt and nice lasting head. My only criticism is it needs a little more hops - but that comes in the Stone Ruination IPA. A beautiful thing.

I really enjoyed this IPA, and would have to say it is now one of my favorites of the genre. I know it is highly rated here, and I think that it is well worth the praise.

A light and refreshing IPA with a slight presence of hops, and a crisp finish! Overall, a nice beginners introduction to the world of IPA’s.

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2012 Great citrusy aroma with a pale golden appearance. Hoppy taste with citrus overtones. Crisp light mouth with a lingering bitter finish. Not bad, a good IPA.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: Clear and golden on color with a thick white head that provides good lacing.
Aroma: A lot of hops aroma here, citrus and dry grass/hay.
Taste: The hops are front and center; fruit, grapefruit, and grassy. The malt is well balanced, but not as well as in Levitation. Nice grain and bready flavors keep your palate from a hop overload.
Texture: Mouthfeel is well balanced, not too dry.
Drinkability: Although the hops are big here, they do not overpower the taste and make this brew very drinkable.
Presentation: 12 ounce bottle poured into a pint glass.
