2013 bottle to pint glass. Pours hazy lemon yellow with orange highlights and decent white, foamy head. Aroma is a combination of piney and grassy hops with a lemon citrus smell and some floral. Taste is the same piney/grassy bitterness with some bread and a little citrus. A slight soapy quality. Mouthfeel is fuller than expected. Overall, the bitterness is a little to intense for my taste but a decent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours light amber with white head. Great balanced aroma of hops and spices. Great hop taste without being overpowered by bitterness. Great beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bitter to the max... no, really! :D Medium head with lacing. Amber orange. Palate little dissapointing, but still decent. Aromas of pine, citrus, fruity... Nice "on the glass" printed bottle.

Nice floral smell and amber color. Really good hops balanced with malts. My first hop love. Still a really excellent IPA.

On tap at Treno. Light gold pour, white head and nice lacing. Aroma is faint citrus and and not much else. taste is citrus and piney hops with some lemon zest and fresh bread. Medium body with lively carbonation. Probably a great summer beer, but I prefer more depth.

An enjoyable IPA but extremely hoppy and a very bitter finish. Between gold and copper. Fresh hop flavor and somewhat dry.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a dark gold with a tow inch beige head that lasts. Taste is of hops, pine, citrus, resin, malt and caramel. Has a cleaner, hoppy aroma. The body is creamy and a bit thick. Has a nice, dry and bitter finish that lingers. Overall, a pretty good IPA.

Pours clear, amber/orange with a good size head of white foam that fell almost reasonably to a thick cap; leaving some monstrously stubborn lace. Nose is big with lemon, floral and herbal, citrus, lime and a nice soft spice under all the fruit. Not a lot of malt on the nose. Just a hint of bread and some caramel sweetness. As it warms the lemon sweetens deeply and so does the caramel. Taste is colossal. Fruit washes over the palate a bit too quickly and meets a heavy resin for a bitter that starts mid palate. Bread shows up in back with some light biscuit right before an oily pine blast. Finishes slick with a powerful bitter that lasts long into a finish that isn’t really dry as much as pithy and sour. Body is thin and while the malt constantly approaches it never rounds out and so this leaves a touch imbalanced Moderate to low carbonation.

This was a strong, beer that grows on you as you drink. I didn’t find the same cocky personality in this that I have found in other Stone beers and I think I missed that. I also think that the fruit character suffered in the attempt to make it intensely bitter without provoking it sufficiently first. The malt came out more and more to show that it was indeed stronger than you might have realized. The hop character engaged you more and more as well as the expansive bitter just kept unfolding and at the end of the bottle I was mysteriously satisfied.

Keg in New York. Pale amber colour. Nice tropical fruit aroma. Sweet, toffee, honey, tropical fruit taste with a slightly saccharine aftertaste and not a huge amount of bitterness. It's decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
