3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
A very strong hop flavor to this beer, it was very bitter and stayed bitter through out the after taste and then some. But this one was a little more pleasant than the Ruination, but still would not seek it out.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
big aroma, not sure itís pleasant. lighter color than many IPAs, dark yellow. lingering hop flavor is a plus. I canít identify the hop flavor, not fruity, not spicey, not overly earthy. hops might be a little piney to earthy, but not with a bad aftertaste. malt is hard to identify, but it doesnít take over the beer.

Bottle. Pours golden with nice white head. Grapefruit and pine hop aroma, taste is sweet, medium creamy mouthfeel, and lots of hops.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. A light powered hoppy aroma with muted vegetable scent mixed in, kind of like a broccoli fart. Not too impressive in strength. The appearance was better than the aroma, a tangerine honey with a nice big head that melted into a ring, decent lacing as well.
The palate was a medium body with a sticky texture. The taste wasnít as hoppy as Iíd expected for an IPA, and I picked up that strange broccoli fart aftertaste similar to the aroma.
Not sure if this was a bad bottle, but I expected more.

Meh... this IPA ainít all itís cracked up to be. Itís average at best, and not deserving of its high place on the ratings. Nugget Nectar blows this away completely. All of you have already had it, so Iím not even going to bother to tell you that this is an entry level IPA. Try it once and move on.

I was excited for this one, as it was something I considered a classic IPA. Poured a beautiful golden color and gave that hopsy smell I love. Had a sip, wasnít disappointed, but not blow off my feet either. A good IPA, but nothing to go wild over. A smooth drink, that I would buy again, but not get too excited about.

Aroma has pine and citrus on the head. Pours golden clear with good lacing and head. Finishes with light bitterness, but not terribly complex. Some sweetness in finish as well. On tap at Blue Monk.
