By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Just like me in the midst of a wild and crazy round of drunken hopscotch, this beer is HOPPY. Very crisp, bitter finish. I can understand how past raters have claimed its somewhat acidic, with an almost medicinal quality at times.. but still, a great beer. Those 70 IBUís hit your palate like a fat girl crashing a tricycle.

GABF 2002: Fresh piney aroma. Nice golden colour. Thin, crisp, and bitter. Not much matl balance unitl the end.

Tasted at the Barrelhouse Brewing Company Microbrew Fest on November 9. I didnít think this stacked up to Ruination but it is still a contender. Dry, biting hops keep it interesting but it is still easy to drink. Keep íem coming Stone!

Having had some IPA's that have hops strength that can shrivel tongues, this came of as rather well balanced. Meaning that while the malt flavor is well subdued I was not over powered by the hopping, just greatly pleased. Very nice. Really impressed that with all the hops hat may have died for my pleasure, they did not do so in unnecessarily

A strong, full-bodied IPA. A strong flavor combines with a hoppy aftertaste. Not as powerful as the Aniversary ales, but no less tasty.

Definitely a top quality IPA. Balanced flavor and strength. Smooth and satisfying.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2009 Light golden color with a full head. Smells like apples, little like peaches, almost like apple cider, very sweet aroma. Wow, so bittersweet, very dry, with very full and enjoyable hop flavors. Not as sweet as it smells, but more balanced.

I'm still a big fan of Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA, but this is a fine beer. I'm becoming a "hop convert" after all, where I previously preferred maltier brews. Rich, amber color. Bold, knock-you-on-your-ass hops. What can I say. Hops, hops, hops!

Orangish amber body with a nice floral, piney, citrusy and hoppy nose. Very thin head. The tongue had hops on it but seemed thinner than the Ruination and it finishes drier than the Ruination. This is still a damn tasty beer, though. Bitter with a slight sweetness. Finishes dry but with a smooth aftertaste. Good beer.
