By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

caramel, grass, spruce, citrus, golden, clear, minimal head, white foam, light sweetness, medium bitterness, light body, oily feel, average carbonation, bitter, long finish Blast of citrus pine hops upon pouring. White foam that dissipates fairy soon with light lacing. Bread/caramel malt initially, then medium bitterness takes over. Medium carbonation with a light oily mouthfeel. Spruce like bitterness is the finish that lasts. Pretty dry at the end. Quite good.

Bottled. Enjoy by date 06/04/15. Pours golden amber color, frothy white head. Aroma is orange peel, peach, bit of mango and tropical fruits. Flavor is hop forward, slight tropical fruits, citrus notes. Malty biscuit undertones. Bitter hop finish. Hoppy IPA.

Not the freshest iteration of this IPA I’ve had - some sediment was visible in the bottle, and the aroma was muted

Old rating. Great go to IPA. Amber. Citrus, medium malt body, well balanced with light bitterness. Great in a pinch.

At a great tasting in Vranovo-Serbia, with markoijelena and cika Boban. Bottle courtesy of Costantin from the Hoppy Imp, Greece. Thank you fratello! It comes clear immediately that the bottle is not that young. Pours golden cloudy and bright, medium white cap. Nose: orang, syrupy, a bit too thin (old-flat?). Mouth: malty with a citrusy hoppy accent.

Tap @Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Clear amber, small creamy white head. Citrus, piney aroma, hinta of peach. Fruity citrus flavour, peach and pineapple well balanced by light caramel malt. Long, fruity and bitter finish.

On tap at the Bier Markt Ottawa.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden colour with a trace of white head. Not a lot of lacing.

Aroma: Pine and more pine.

Flavours: Pine and some grapefruit.

Mouthfeel: Average viscosity and carbonation.

Overall: This is a decent but highly overrated IPA. Lots of the pine aroma and flavour but not much else. How this gets a 100/100 rating on ratebeer I’ll never know.

Poured a golden color from the tap with aromas of grapefruit, lit citrus and pine. Flavors are the same decent hops, mild bitterness and pine. Solid and enjoyable.

From bottle. Balanced tasty ipa, enjoyable and sessionable without being an absolute standout. A fine import beer I’d recommend it.

Never been an IPA fan, so I can’t say I cared for the hoppy aroma much at all. Nevertheless, I found it very fresh and drinkable.
