Aroma has pine and citrus on the head. Pours golden clear with good lacing and head. Finishes with light bitterness, but not terribly complex. Some sweetness in finish as well. On tap at Blue Monk.

Beautiful beer. Frothy head good lacing. Citrus and grass. Almost balanced. Light fruity notes. Sticky mouth feel. Fair ipa, I wish it was fresher.

Pour hazy blond, two finger white head. Smell super big floral hops, sticky, pine needles Taste bitter floral sticky hops Mid body. Think Ruination may be easier to drink Good if you are into being punched in the face with bitter hops, well done

Nice aroma of fresh hops. Taste is hop forward over a crisp ale without being overly bitter or strong on alcohol. I would say this sets the standard for what IPA should be judged from.

12 oz. bottle. Appearance: large white head that diminishes rather quickly, great lacing, golden straw color, slightly cloudy. Aroma: orange zest, resin, grass, caramel, floral. Palate: light body, sticky texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. Taste: slightly sweet, little bit of malts building up to the lasting bitterness that finishes through the taste with the slightest bit of metallic at the end. Overall, solid IPA, but not the best by Stone’s standards; just not balanced as well as maybe it should be.

Very tasty and delightful hoppiness. Pleasant mouthfeel: not so light. Only a hint sweet so well balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Porters. Pours amber, with a white patchy head. Very malty nose, toffee, caramel, hay etc and some yeast. Some lighter hops and pine in the background. Quite malty flavour, nice hoppy finish. Dry yeasty and malty finish, medium body and carbonation. I suspect this keg was neither the freshest nor the most recently tapped, because was not as good or as hoppy an IPA as I expected. Will have to rerate.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2014 On tap poured into a shaker. Very strong pine and resin aromas at the start with some subtle grapefruit and other citrus and tropical fruit aromas (maybe over ripe peach or apricot? ). Pours a clear golden color with a white head the subsides to a thin layer, but laces wonderfully. The tongue is hit by medium bodied beer with active carbonation and a heavy piney, resin citrus bitter flavor. A slight caramel sweetness peaks through the bitter about mid sip, but the pine bitterness returns at the finish and sticks around for the dry aftertaste that mellows after a short while.
