By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Bottle from Cavie. "Why hello, dry hop. You seem to have overrun my aroma." A little lemon aroma as well. Taste is hoppy, but not as much as the aroma. Very citrusy. Lots of side tingle on the tongue.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2013 4th June 2008. Easy drinking IPA. Nice fruity hops with a medium level of bitterness. Lighter palate than a lot of IPAs. 3.4

A much fresher bottle. Hazy amber beer. tidy white head. Palate is light and crisp and dry. Thin creamy malt with mild caramel. Good piney hops, rich and bitter. Lesser citrus and whisper of skunk. Dry minerally finish with some fresh hop sting. Tasty IPA but a bit dry.

Pours a crystal clear straw yellow scarily like macro swill. Smallish snow white head clings and leaves massive lacing. Honestly, looks like Miller Lite. Even my wife said "I thought you don’t drink that cheap stuff." Nose dominate by citrus and malt. Classic one dimensional IPA aroma. Crisp flavor of grapefruit. Strong bitterness at the finish. Lively mouth feel. High carbonation level is just right for the style. A pretty decent IPA. Ugly as hell, but still very tasty.

Super hop-bomb....watch out! A lot of bittering hops used in this, but they do seem to mellow a bit as you drink more. Great PNW hop aroma and flavors, complex...good malt backbone. Not the cleanest hop flavor in the world, but a really enjoyable beer from a great brewery.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2010 Poured from a bottle into a Sam Adams perfect pint glass. The best by date gives is about a month and a half away. Pours a nice translucent deep orange, with a small quickly receding white head. Smells great being dominated by citrus hops. Taste is hops, hops, hops. Also a bit spicy and citrus are coming through, without much of a malt backbone to back it up. Ends crisp with lingering hops.

Bottle, shared with hobbersr and Cole. Ours clear amber, medium head, spotty lacing. Nose is super grassy, and frankly really smells like pot! Plenty of spicy, piney hops, notes of anise, and there is malt lurking in the background as well. Flavors of pot, very mild malt, pine resin, simple bitter finish.

Bottle. Medium head with a clear golden appearance. Some bitterness with not as hoppy as some of their beers. Lingering bitterness. A straightforward, uncomplicated example of this style.

drank in comparisson to the 60 minute IPA and Squall 90 minute IPA and Stone Ruination and Stone IPA. its cloudy, super frothy and more orange than the others. wow, can you say pine cones, booze and fruity hops? I say there is little malts in this one, big leafy pine cones on the mouth, I find it has a sort of wet rock or chalky note on the palate as well. it is super hoppy but I find it is lacking in complexity, there are no malts big fruity hops with good carbonation. A wonderful brew but can i say it is actually kinda almost just too much hops and not much else?

Like IPA’s?? Then you will like this one. On tap @ The Press Room. Pours golden hue with a white, foamy, long lasting white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops and biscuit malt. Light-medium, tangy body. Citrusy hops dominate the flavor with a biscuit malt provide good balance. Finish is long lasting, dry and hoppy.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2011 Complex hop flavors here, big bitterness at the end, that ramps up afterwards. Not balanced with malts though, decent
