Bottle from Lithy, thanks! Orange blonde color. Malty perfumed grapefruit aroma with pineapple. Sweet but oily hopbitter, perfumed flavor. Mint, grapefruit and pineapple. The perfume spoils the fun a bit, this would have been a great beer otherwise.

Bottle. The Rover, Gothenburg. Golden orange color with a white head. Aroma: Hops, mango, tropical fruit, sweet. Flavor: Soap, hoppy grape, pine, metall, unmatured banana, a bit too strong.

Orange amber hue, grapefruit, citrus & resin profile. Perfume, herb, caramel malt nose. Crisp and acceptably bitter finish. Again, agree with Pipper, not my favorite IPA but its a decent one.
Sampled at Roziís Wine & Liquor, Stone Tasting Event, Lakewood, OH.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2009 11/08/2009. 12oz. Beerstore.co.nz. Stewed jelly-like barley malt, good hop bitterness but the hop flavour and aroma is muddied behind the oxidised malt. I can see this is a great beer on the way out. Certainly still drinkable, enjoyable even, but the tide is hop tide is way out.

This one has seen better days. Not bad, but much better on the other side of the Pacific. Iíd imagine.

Pours pale golden with monster head. Nice retention and great lacing. Nose is predictable... Citrus, pine, resin and dry hay. Flavor is pleasant. Orange peel, vegetable greens and roasty wood finish. Thin on the palate. Solid ipa, but not the revelation I was expecting

Picked up a bomber of this while I was home in Texas back in August... Nose and mouth exploded with huge citrus, piney hop profile... It was hard to find the malt, but it was there in the background, burried somwhere under all that fresh hops... At the time I found it almost unbearably bitter, but would love to revisit it now that I have a better appreciation for the style.

Having tried 3 bottles in the last couple days Iím just not getting what all the rave is about. It looks good. Beautiful sunshine color with a lasting 1 finger head. Nice lacing. Aroma is mild crisp hops and not much else. Taste is bitter hops that finishes too dry almost to the point of giving me cotton mouth. Not a session beer here and certainly FAR from being the best.

SD Trip, sampler: Hmmm, maybe Iím getting the pales mixed up, that can happen. This is a hoppy, but not overly so, IPA. The best IPA out there, as the community score would suggest, Iíd say no, but itís drinkable and not offensive so it has mass appeal over some (better) IPAs and DIPAs (Hercules). Again, may have been muted by the Sublimely I was also drinking.

Beer poors from a bottle hazy copper with little to no head. Aroma is huge on the initial poor and fades quickly. Piney/citrusy notes are prevalent. Bitterness is strong with a medium sweetness that balances everything out. Palate is bubbly and bitterness lingers in the back of the throat after swallow. Overall beer is a nice IPA and something I would go to for an overall IPA at the house
