By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Pours orange, white head. Aroma is hoppy, grapefruit Taste, hoppy and fruity, nice sugar, light caramel malts, with bitter hoppy finish. Just not a big fan of the West coast style IPA.

Poured cloudy yellow with an off-white head. Grapefruit aroma. Light and crisp with notes of citrus and grapefruit. Not overly bitter. Decent, but I do not quite get the hype.

pours a slightly hazy golden color with a foamy white head that dissipates quickly. aroma has lots of grapefruit, some pineapple, a touch of spice, and the faintest hin of some doughy maltiness. flavor has some maltiness...pilsner malt?...up front with spicy grapefruit overlapping it. mouthfeel is smooth with a lingering fruity and dry aftertaste. very nice but not the best ipa i’ve had.

Bouteille. Dégusté avec french tickler et Agaguk. Biere de couleur caramel clair avec un mince collet très collant. Odeur d’épinette, ail, carotte et épices. Gout floral, sucre, épices et un soupçon de sel.

bottle, pours light gold with a thin white head. Aroma is very fresh smelling, almost like when I homebrew. Flavor is nice and balanced, good malt richness and sweet flavors with bitter and citrus flavors from the hops. Highly drinkable.

on tap - orange amber beer with almost no foam. Strong lemony hops aroma. Flavour is very bitter, long lasting. Could be a little bit more balanced.

A- Transparent medium amber body. An aggressive pour only produced a head of 1 finger. The tiny bubbles constantly rising to the top (which is great because I’m drinking this from a standard pint glass) give this one a decent head retention. Eventually a thin collar remains and no lacing is left behind in the glass. S- Wonderful bouquet of citrus, floral, and earthy hops with a sweet caramel malt backbone. T- A balance of herbal and citrus hop taste upfront with a weak caramel malt backbone. The finish is mostly herbal hops with a caramel malt sweetness. Lingering bitterness is aggressive and somewhat unpleasant. Also lingering is an herbal hop taste, caramel malt sweetness, and alcohol warmth. P- Aggressive carbonation and oily body of medium thickness. O- This is a decent IPA but not one of my favorites. I was surprised that the alcohol was detected in this medium ABV brew. This one is full of hop flavor and bitterness. I may revisit this one again. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-06-2007 15:47:34
