By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

2013 bottle to pint glass. Pours hazy lemon yellow with orange highlights and decent white, foamy head. Aroma is a combination of piney and grassy hops with a lemon citrus smell and some floral. Taste is the same piney/grassy bitterness with some bread and a little citrus. A slight soapy quality. Mouthfeel is fuller than expected. Overall, the bitterness is a little to intense for my taste but a decent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bitter to the max... no, really! :D Medium head with lacing. Amber orange. Palate little dissapointing, but still decent. Aromas of pine, citrus, fruity... Nice "on the glass" printed bottle.

Nice floral smell and amber color. Really good hops balanced with malts. My first hop love. Still a really excellent IPA.

On tap at Treno. Light gold pour, white head and nice lacing. Aroma is faint citrus and and not much else. taste is citrus and piney hops with some lemon zest and fresh bread. Medium body with lively carbonation. Probably a great summer beer, but I prefer more depth.

Bottle pour into a glass. Hazy golden pour with a white head with medium lacing. Smells pine, citrus, some honey overtones. Yeah, big on hops here. Bitter, pine, grapefruit, citrus. Balanced nicely and not overwhelming at all

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2014 Pours hazy bright gold into a pint glass, off white lumpy head dies into body in about a minute, spotty lacing with rings, smell has pale malts and hops, some floral notes come out as the beer warms, well balanced, taste is citrus, becomes balanced well between the hops and malts; palate is medium, crisp and clean, sessionable, nothing harsh on the tongue, no aftertaste, piney and malty finish, overall, this is a mostly easy drinking IPA. I’m impressed how well balanced everything is in this beer. I would have this again.

March 2013 - cold bottle on my birthday. My 501st beer since I started recording. The best Stone beer I’ve had so far. Like an artificial sweet with some astringent bitterness. Mild lemon? Not much fruit, not particularly floral either - bit of parma violets. I’m finding it hard to place the flavour. Grapefruit is too easy a comparison. Drying. Reminds me of a few of the Kernel beers. Overall, it’s an above average IPA.

22 ounce bottle. Pours a dark gold with a tow inch beige head that lasts. Taste is of hops, pine, citrus, resin, malt and caramel. Has a cleaner, hoppy aroma. The body is creamy and a bit thick. Has a nice, dry and bitter finish that lingers. Overall, a pretty good IPA.
