UPDATED: JUN 16, 2009 Aroma seems much weaker than I was expecting. Flavor is big hops, citrus and clean, bracing bitterness. Alcohol taste seems right up front, too, not at all hidden. The first 12 oz. was great, but everything here is so intense that it was not easy to finish the whole 22 oz. bomber.

Sample at Roziís Wine House Stone Brewing Co. Event. Poured a cloudy yellow/orange color with white head. A little piney aroma and a bubbly mouth feel with smooth finish and alcohol aftertaste. Not my favorite IPA but certainly decent.

A grey market import bottle from beerstore.co.nz, so its not up to its best. But here it is anyway: Pours golden, thin white head. Aroma is sweet, with a hint of piny citrus hop, candyish malt. Bitterness dominates initially, a nice unique hop character, with a balancing caramelly malt.

I know IPA fanboys will hate me for this, but I really didnít care for this one.

IPAs are not my favorites - normally, but I got this by mistake and really enjoyed it. Certainly it has the requisite amount of hops and then some but I fine it to be particularly well balanced. The bitterness is down from what one might expect and the overall taste is really very good

Extra golden in color, this is a very solid IPA. Lots of hops up front with a nice bitter flavor and finish. This is not the best tasting IPA Iíve had, but is one of the most refreshing.

This sucker is BIT-TER. Yikes. Just way too out of balance for my tastes. Plus, there isnít really anything subtle going on to intrigue me. Aroma is wonderful, pours a nice hazy golden orange. If you really love a very bitter IPA, this may be your beer. Not one Iíll be buying again.

Nice appearans, have 12 beers left of an total of 48, so it is a nice beer to always have in the fridge. Saw it on yesterdays episode of weeds and it gave me the fever for drinking one!

May 2010: One of the four taps at Pay and Take, Flagstaff. Came in a pint glass, slightly cloudy and orange in colour, more orange than the amber body I was expecting, full white head at first, soon only a wisp and collar. Very hoppy in aroma and taste, the citrus smells from the aroma hops disgiuised the bitterness that was to follow in the taste. I quiet enjoyed the beer, the bitterness continued throughout the tasting, even the aftertaste was all hop and no hint of any malt content could i find anywhere within the brew.

Bottle; Golden honey color with an off white creamy head. Aroma: herbal, citrus with breat/wheat notes, spice. Flavor: Creamy, dry biting spicy tart flavor with a grapefruit finish.
