By definition, an India Pale Ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale-and we deliver in spades. Now one of the most well respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with citrusy flavor and hop aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

Pours amber with a smooth head. Peppery hops. A lot of flavor but its dryness blocks out any complexity. Would like something a bit more zesty and fruity and maybe have the mice malt tastes shine a little bit brighter. Still a very decent beer. One for the hop heads!

Serving: from tap at Stink. Aroma: moderate pine hop. Appearance: small, creamy, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, dark-yellow body. Taste: lightly bitter initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: light body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: good, everyday beer that would be great for hot weather.

Never been an IPA fan, so I can’t say I cared for the hoppy aroma much at all. Nevertheless, I found it very fresh and drinkable.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2006 Orangey-gold colour. Rich woody nose with orange, toast, peach, kumquat. Long hoppy palate, some biscuity pale malts. Standard issue stuff, moderate bitterness and a bit fruitier and more approachable than most examples.
