Iím just "learning to love" IPAís. Not quite as over-the-top-hoppy as I thought it would be. Solidly bitter - but balanced by the malt - not as citrusy as other IPAs. Medium to thick body, properly pale in apperance. Nice floral nose. Exceptional balance between the malt / hoppiness / alcohol. Iím really surprised how easy this is to drink - a great beer.

Bottle. Aroma is grassy, hops and grapefruit. Taste is big juicy grapefruit, hop bitterness and some floral backend. Very good ipa. So well balanced, can drink everyday. One of the best

Bottle. Pour a slightly hazy gold with a thin off-white head. Aroma and taste of citrus, pine and floral hop. Nicely bitter but not the hop bomb I was expecting but still a nice IPA.

Bottle (12 Oz): cloudy golden color. Lots of bitterness throughout. Almost a metallic taste in the end. Good but not a favorite

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours cloudy gold, two finger head, light lacing. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, apricot and grass. Taste is very balanced but bitterness is the showcase. Medium body, lots of small bubble carbonation, soapy, resin mouth feel. Finishes bitter with notes of stone fruits, pine and earthy grass like textures. This is one of the best IPAs in the country in my opinion.

Look: pours a golden straw. White head that fades quickly. Smell: pine. Tropical fruit. Orange. Pineapple. Taste: pine. Pineapple. Orange. Feel: not mouth of a film but there is a slight one. Medium carbonation. Overall: good session beer. Easy to drink. Heavy pine. First drank: Robbie's grill 7/18/14

Call me crazy, but this is not the best IPA Iíve had. That said, itís awesome. A good hoppy aroma. With a clean palate, my first taste was the overwhelming bitterness. That probably lowered my overall rating. About halfway through my first beer, though, the malt character caught up, and the bitterness was less pronounced. Itís a beautiful beer in a pilsner glass (my favorite), crystal clear with a nice soapy head. A little pricey here in the Midwest, but Iíll probably buy it again.

The holy grail of the class. There is a challenger noted earlier this evening but yet, this one remains my highest rated pure IPA. Wonderful concoction.
