4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I love this IPA. The pour is smooth and creates a nice 2 inches of white head that dissolve into belgian lace before I get through my second sip. The aromas are beautiful, I recommend using a brandy sniffer to capture the grapefruit, lemon, pine resin, and sage. The initial taste is a mix of the aromas and the mid-taste. The mid-taste is a herbal fruity bitterness that overpowers any malt sweetness, and slowly fades into a tangy bitter aftertaste.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
(On Tap) Clear golden amber with large dense white head. Beautiful aroma - stone fruit, oranges, hint of pine. Medium body with excellent mouth filling soft carbonation. Taste starts with tangy fruit over light biscuit malt. Fruit has orange and stone fruit notes. A nice bitterness appears in the mid palate and then builds for a great bitter finish. An excellent beer.

Bottled, nice golden blonde. Super crisp. Nice grassy hops with a malt taste. Overall second best IPA I have ever head.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a hazy amber from a bottle. I guess this is a classic West coast IPA. Itís okay, citrus and pine aromas, same flavor, less sweetness than you get from most IPAs nowadays, actually quite dry. Bitterness lasts long after you swallow. Meh.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I thought this was an okay IPA. The aroma has a little pine in it, but the taste is mostly bitter hops. There are lots of IPAís I enjoy more.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at the lab gastropub. Hazy orange color with white head. Huge piney, resinous grapefruit marmalade aroma. Taste is bitter, good residual sweetness, nice body, bitter caramel. A great classic IPA!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear deep golden colour with a lasting fine poruing white head offering excellent lacings. Aromas of dank grass, green leaves, barnyard, spruce/pine and herbal hop resin with grapefruit and light citrus influences arise on the nose. Softly carbonated with a light slick texture and a medium body, this IPA offers a crisp malt center building up hop bitterness which lasts well on the palate without being abrasive. The finish is long and bone dry. Good stuff!

Soft carbonation. Beautiful flavour, strong grapefruit notes without the overpowering citrus. Well balanced hops. Bitter finish.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This brew is strong yet refreshing, crisp and hoppy. The hops triggered a response from my parietal glands. As my salivary glands started to spam, my ears and sinuses reacted in kind. This brew is phenomenal. It is not for those that proclaim patronage to the non-bitter beer institute. As the good book says, donít cast pearls before swine. This beer is for the conesuer, for one who appreciates perfection. California ales are definitely leading the way for these hop righteous brews. Stone and a few others are defining the new era in IPA brewskies!
