4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
22oz. bottle. Pouring smoothly into my pint glass, I can see the light amber/orange colored brew slowly rise to the top forming a nice one inch slightly off white head. What a fine sight it is. The first thing to hit my nose is pineapple, like I just opened a can as I often do. Then it starts to become more complex with other fruit odors, maybe a little bit of a peach schnapps smell or, maybe its that I detect a little bit of the sweet smell of honey. Wow, my rookie nose is really showing its character, or is it that the complexity of this beer is blowing my mind? Upon the first taste I notice the malty sweetness and flavor explosion. Nice and bitter with plenty of mouth watering hoppy citrus flavor. Extremely refreshing and inspiring. The head retains itself at about a quarter inch leaving a nice lace to the end. Or no, its not over yet, I still havent finished the bottle. The rest pours smoother as it has warmed a little. This beer must be bottled conditioned because it is now cloudy in my glass, as the complex flavors improve. I know that this is the best IPA Ive had yet.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
"as far as the regular (ie-not imperial) IPAs go, this is right up there as one of the best. Hoppier (slightly) than Marinís, with a slightly thinner but slicker mouthfeel. Aroma is near perfect, and itís cheaper than Marin, which only comes in 22ís."

Translucent orange with a quickly dissipating white head. Heavy citrus aroma, grapefruit and orange, grass and flowers. Alcohol and bitterness are very present. Dry hops, sweet and sour citrus.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
tap @ Konttori
Orange clear beer with white dense head leaving lots of lacing. Aroma has sweet tropical ftuits, resin, grapefruit and caramelly sweetness. Flavor is very hoppy bitter, resinous and grapefruity. Palate is quite full and fluffy with feel of bitterness. Finish has very strong bitterness. Aftertaste is dry, grapefruity, piney and soapy. One of the strongest hop loads Iíve ever tasted, most DIPAís get mellowed out by the thicker malt backbone. The bitterness is almost violently strong. Thereís a bit of the annoying bitter caramelliness I dislike about American IPAs, which drops a few points. Still, a very enjoyable IPA.

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Distinctive tea like aroma and flavor. Great orangey sweetness in the flavor as well as a strong grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Itís a shame itís 7 % because this would be one of my everyday beers

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Heavy hop bitterness dominates from start to finish but manages to keep a perfect balance between pine and citrus. This one is to write home about.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Bar Liberte in Philly. Drank from the bottle. Pungent, dank aroma. Lots of citrus rind. Mouthfeel is very carbonated and slightly sticky. Taste is grapefruit rind all the way. Very bitter. Nothing subtle about this. Hops are the only thing going on with this beer. No pretext of balance, but thatís OK sometimes. Pretty decent and Iíd drink again. But I wouldnít drink often.
